Ooh, I've got it. I'm going to write a story about how Spyro turns into DarkSpyro (it's such a creative name) and kills Cynder. The rest of the story will be about him staring at the moon, regretting what he's done as "What I've Done" plays in the background.

That sounds so horrible maybe Spyro will commit suicide!

Why does everyone think darkspyro is pure evil why can't he be like the symbiote spider-man meaning he still is the good guy but takes bad choices like Instead of beating up bad guys he kills them coldy

I don't know, I kind of got the idea that the dark side of Spyro was like what had turned Malefor evil.

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

dark spyro..... i think this is a bad chiche... i mean, if at least they had done a nice cutscene, with a more inteligent dialogue, maybe with malefor saying something in his head, and better interpretation from the dubbing, it could be a nice chiche... spyro fighting to not turn into malefor's puppet...

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

I Had to watch the walkthrough of A New Beginning.
I think it's so awesome and I love the Earth breath! It's so powerful.
I love the storyline and i love how Cynder is so evil in it!

I also, had to watch Eternal Night on a walkthrough.
It's such an amazing one. I LOVE It when Spyro shields them In that crystal near the end.
It was really emotional seeing their faces when they huddled up together.

I haven't played Dawn of the Dragon yet.

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

Yay someone defends LOS. Just figured I'd say, I love both the LOS trilogy and the original trilogy, not any of the spyro games in between. On the other hand LOS is just a tad bit higher, because personally I think the story is awesome.

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

The story doesn't appeal to those who really hate cliches and what not. Personally I don't mind because I'm open to just about any story no matter what...and it's impossible to have any kind of story without a cliche. With all this media and literature shoved into our faces all the time it's impossible to find something your mind has not seen or adapted to in some way or another.

I enjoy the story for what it is...and I like the characters. I'm not very fond of the gameplay, but it does wonders for fanfiction ideas and just a pretty good kill afternoon adventure if you want. I enjoy both the series for what they are and I always will for future games regardless of how much they suck or not.

Anyways I did enjoy this series despite its setbacks. I just hope that Sierra learns from their mistakes and applies themselves to fixing future games to avoid such conflicts.

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

Yeah I think everyone saw the romance coming, but c'mon, two anythings go through that kind of struggle and what do you expect is going to happen?

I would have to agree though, zey need to work on the gameplay still, I would like to see free-roaming environments again, and REAL collectables, although the armor was pretty good.

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

Yes having more open and interactive worlds would be a very big plus for future games...with as you said more collectibles and items that would have to be found and such. It has to be a lot more harder to get 100% then DotD was...

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

In my opinion, Spyro was not meant to be a fighting game. It was much more successful as a platformer. I just don't see why people don't see that and switch back to making the old school games. hmm

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

Because not every gamer is like you. The style in games took a drastic turn in the late 90's. Insomniac gave Spyro up because of the limitations the character had.....aka "He can't even hold a gun."

So when the character was given away some other developers tried the same style as Insomniac....and both were rather dismal. Some fans wanted a change and others didn't....but Sierra gave a change to be more adapt to the way they envisioned Spyro.

Not everyone likes change...some embrace it and some don't....but in the end they decided to go their own direction and this is what we have today. Doesn't matter to me seeing as how I like both series for what they are....but not every gamer is like that at all.

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

I am, I think. lol

I agree that most people can't just accept the fact that they decided to turn Spyro into a button masher, but it's becoming apparent that they are attempting to make Spyro feel a little more like the original trilogy, I mean DotD had a lot of platforming type stuff and they attempted to have collectables, such as they were, I didn't even bother trying to get all the health, magic gems or the elite enemies.

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

What if they added a element like in left 4 dead.

Different enemies vary from time to time and they attack you from random places.

expect the unxpected

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

Would be great for a heavy action oriented game..but I can't really tell which direction they are going to go...if they will make things more similar to the old games in terms of traveling and collecting items...or build upon the formula even more and create more fighting and action....but yeah I think random enemies would be a good idea.

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

I Just have one question.

Why didn't the Well of Souls destroy the crystal/gem when it collapsed?
It's weird because in the beginning of Dawn of the Dragon it seemed easy to smash it open with a weapon.

Did the gem/crystal grow weak?

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

The power that Spyro used to seal them in time was most likely set for a specific amount of time....or Malefor's creatures somehow reacted some kind of defense mechanism....seeing as how they were going to smash them within the crystal....when the enemies approached the crystal shattered as to avoid any harm to those within it.

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

^not a very effective defense mechanism...

The TLOS games are in an awkward spot because they can't become much more fighting oriented w/o a rating change, which would throw the whole thing out of whack. Yet, it's also set itself apart from the originals, so going back towards that style of play seems kind of odd as well. Looks like the devs better be careful with the next game

Well that's just a theory lol....so I don't know if it's right or anything, but it was one of the things I could think of that would make somewhat sense.
