Re: Some new-old Spyro 2 renders!

Wow! Did someone not notice this? For over a month?! These things are a sight to see! Especially the Spyro beachchair posing one, which I recall seeing in a foreign magazine scan. Will try to spread the word~

In my world, I believe that there are many, many ideas that are waiting to be created; by inspiration, renewing an old idea, or just by accident.

Hey thanks. Yeah I got worried too when this post slipped immediately beneath a new one in the Spyro 2 subforum, sadly not the most bustling place =P

Thats what the models should look like when proper smoothing is applied to them lol... I guess if they ever released it on PC thats probably what they would look like back in the day. (Not saying that I hate consoles for obvious reasons since it still has most of the best exclusives and I still prefer using a console while sitting on the couch)

-Intel I7 4770k 4.5Ghz / Phanteks U-Type Black    -Vengeance (Hynix) 16Gb 1600Mhz   -Kingston SSDNow M.2 / 2TB Seagate Constellation
-Asus Intel Z97-P    -Zalman z11 Plus Case    -Windows 10 Insider Edition    -XFX R9 280X 3GB

Yeah, I think it is. His cute factor definitely took a blow, that said a lot of the other characters look a little creepy as well D=

Well I'm glad y'all finally saw this stuff! I was getting worried they either weren't noticed, or were too disturbingly ugly to comment on =P Thanks Iso for the cross-post on darkSpyro btw!

P.S, the file names on turtle renders are funny. The giant turtle one is called BlockFromIt, the meditating turtle is called WiseFromIt and the little turtle from the cauldron minigame is called SoupFromIt. =P Also the fodder Stormy posted is called CowPig, which is interesting, although there's no guarantee the filenames were chosen by someone who knew the enemy names.

Re: Some new-old Spyro 2 renders!

Wow, those were really neat to see. You rarely see those second and third pictures of Spyro. Especially such large, high quality versions of them. I noticed something strange though. Is it just me, or do those spikes in the beach chair picture look out of place or something? The ones kind of near his right foot that look like they're coming out of the bottom of the chair. The spikes on his tail are facing upward, so I really can't figure out where those are coming from... Lol.

I don't know why. But the muppety character designs seem quintessentially Spyro to me. I hope any upcoming games use the style again.
