Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U

Using A/circle pad instead of the c-stick will probably be pretty hard to get used to for me ;_;
Other than that, the game looks and controls great, and I love the music.

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U

For anyone getting 3DS Version. Be careful. I know all of you take good care of your stuff. But be careful when playing. Japanese players have shown pictures of broken circle pads. On sites. So be careful and gentle when playing the game. I know everyone here is. But hope your 3DS's will be able to hold strong. It's not the game. These people were probably careless. No disrespect so please be careful. I know you all will be.

Thank god I choose to wait for the Wii U version.

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U

I will still be careful when getting that version myself. I don't want to haul my GamePad in for repairs. So I'll be careful. But still looking forward to Wii U Version.

I'll be getting the Wii U version. Really looking forward to this game. And when I discovered that Shulk will be joining the fray, I almost squealed like a fan girl. SHULK!!!!! big_smile

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U

Totally gonna buy the Gamecube adapter and two more controllers (split the price with my roommates) when the Wii U version comes out. I would buy the 3DS version too, but money's a bit tight now, and I'm saving for a few other things.

I'm hoping they'll add more characters and stages, which I'm assuming they will. Shulk being added reminds me I really need to get a hold of Xenoblade somehow.

If I could get Gamecube adaptor I would. Don't need it. Though GamePad is good enough but Gamecube Controller will always be best controller specially for Wii U version now. Anyway if there is DLC that would be great but if not. Roaster is fine as is.

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U

I just got the 3DS version. Holy crap was I lucky. I got the last non-reserved one they had. I've been playing classic mode, and it's a lot of fun. I really like the approach they're taking with this one, giving the game a lot more playtime. I dunno what people were talking about when they said Little Mac sucks, because he's awesome.

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U

From what I've seen, Little Mac is a powerhouse if you can stay near the middle of the stage, but as soon as ledges come into play, you're pretty much screwed. A lot of my Youtube subscriptions have been playing Smash, so I've seen a bunch of different matches and characters; the game looks great--much better than I first thought when I heard it was coming to 3DS. Still trying to hold out until the Wii U version...we'll see how long that lasts.

I spent months trying to hunt down a copy. When I finally found one, I was like "The Preciousssss!", and snapped it up before anyone else could blink. wink

I'm not entirely sure when SSB for the Wii U is releasing in Australia, but I'm currently content with Hyrule Warriors, so I don't mind the wait.

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U

Maybe soon. Or it might get pushed back to next year. Really we should find out soon. If Wii U Version is delayed or not. Don't mind if it is worth the wait.

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U

Everyone's saying Little Mac is op now, which I find hilarious, because before the release, everyone said he was bad. I decided I'd main him before the game came out, thinking he was underpowered, and now he's considered overpowered, but I'm not changing now. Little Mac 4 lyfe.

He's not even really that OP, though. You can counter him by jumping a lot and getting him near any edge. Also any counter moves or ranged attacks are good against him.

A lot of people throw around characters being 'op' all the time. It mostly just depends on play-style. And like you said, you just have to adjust to the character you're playing against or you can't expect to win. For example, me and my friends play Melee all the time, and once I can figure out my opponent's strengths and weaknesses, I can usually work around it (like using mind games rather than being super aggressive all the time). I recently starting playing Jigglypuff in Melee and can beat my roommate almost every time since I know how to mess with his head. I feel like Kirby or Jigglypuff versus Little Mac would be pretty interesting.

Obviously balancing has always been an issue in the past Smash games, but from what I've seen, and what little I've played from the demo, Sakurai has done a good job this time.

Yeah, I know I can get it from Gamestop for a decent price if I'm willing to drive a ways to get it, but it's hard to justify when I have so many other things I'm saving up for. College really drains your funds. sad I initially got super excited when I hear they were releasing it on 3DS, but it turned out it would only work with the "new 3DS"

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U

Found a tier list, looks like not everyone agrees with Little Mac being OP. Not exactly sure how this is calculated or what all these stats mean, but he's 8th on the list at the time that I'm posting this, so that probably means something, maybe? tongue

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U

I started playing last night with my boyfriend and friend and I do well with Pikachu, Charizard and Toon Link. Still gotta unlock the characters and the stages though.

I unlocked every character, not every stage, though. I'd like to have the F-Zero one, was always one of my personal favorites.

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U

I didn't know what it was at first. But once it came out and I found out it was a collection. Of Nintendo's greatest characters plus others later on duking it out I was hooked.
