Eating, eating, eating

Has anyone else noticed the the amount of times the theme of things being eaten occurs in Ripto's Rage? Here are all the ones that I can think of:

1. Sparx eats butterflies to keep Spyro healthy (present in all the games, but still).

2. In Glimmer, the Gemcutters are being harassed by lizards who are attempting to eat their gems.

3. In Idol Springs, Foreman Bud's second task is to feed fish to a hungry Idol.

4. In Colossus, the yeti eats one of the Monks.

5. In Sunny Beach, Master Chef wants to make a soup out of some of the baby turtles.

6. In Aquaria Towers, Ripple the Seahorse mentions that the Water Workers turned Verne the Giant Squid into fried calamari.

7. In Crystal Glacier, the Draclets, according to Shaman Tik, have eaten some of the villagers.

8. Also in Crystal Glacier, Spyro must return George to Shaman Tok after feeding him fish that jump up through holes in the ice.

9. In Skelos Badlands Spyro must defeat hordes of Lava Lizards. If he isn't fast enough, they will eat the Bonebuilder villagers.

10. In Shady Oasis, the Hippos eat berries which make them larger and tougher.

11. Gulp eats Ripto's scepter, barrels, bombs, and chickens, and he attempts to eat Zoe.

This theme is almost as prominent in Ripto's Rage as the "parody theme" is in YotD.

Interesting... I've never noticed all of this.

What's the parody theme in YotD?

also  in Aquaria towers  the metal sharks will eat spyro  if spyro is in their presence.             the live bushes  in fracture hills pretty much do the same thing that the killer plants in misty bog do but minus the teeth grinding thus   treating spyro like a piece of chewing gum

I've never made that observation. lol It does seem like this game revolves around food.
