What Would You Like to See in the Next Spyro Game?

I just wanted to know what you would like to see in future Spyro games. And I'm sorry if there is already a topic about this, I'm new and wouldn't know.

Personally, I don't care if it is a Legend or Original because I like them both. But I wouldn't want to see Spyro ruling a kingdom or anything, it just wouldn't seem Spyro to me.

I was just thinking about it, and what I would really like to see is a new re-incarnation of some of the most well-known elements in the original Spyro series. For Example: One of the things that has the possibility to be epic would have to be the hubs and home-worlds etc. Just imagining what the portals would look like big_smile It would be awesome! lol.

I would keep the co-op element because I love that part of DoTD. It's fun working together with someone else.

I'd also like to see the re-implementation of NPC interaction within the game such as Spyro 2 when every so often, you would run into Moneybags etc.. I've played up to intercepting the destroyer on DotD and the only possible interaction with an NPC I have seen is the Moles in the Dragon City War.

So yeah... In conclusion... A mixture of a good storyline (From TLoS) mixed with the great old-fashioned game play and elements (Such as NPC's~ Moneybags, etc. and the massive home worlds) will make a great game and whoever does decide to make osmething similar to that.. I personally think will make a fortune.

I want a real end to the TLOS series. They can go ahead with Skylanders, but I eventually want a real TLOS finale, even if it takes place 1000 years after the events in DOTD.

I believe that Activision should follow in the footsteps Microsoft is taking with the Halo franchise. As much as I hate, and mean HATE both AV and MS, creating a new trilogy continuing the story from Halo 3 isn't that bad of an idea. Halo 3 was left ona cliff hanger, with MC and Cortana floating off towards a distant planet. DotD left many questions to be answered. Why cant Ignitus find Sonic and Cynder in the book? Why are the two dragons flying above Avalar? I don't believe a fourth installment should be added to the TLoS series, but continuing the story in a new set of games would make sense

While I'd love it if they would re-release the original 3, if they could incorporate the old humor and gameplay into a new game, even just a bit, that would be beyond great. It wouldn't even be that hard. taking DotD into account (even though I don't want too. >.>), Spyro has just saved the world from an "unstoppable evil". With that under his belt, anything less could just be played around with as a sort of "joke" to him. Put Gnasty in a new game and he'd be something to shake off boredom (Spyro from the original seemed kind of overconfident about his quest from the start, making light of Gnasty Gnorc even in his own world). Fun fun. Setting would take a little more thought (or more imagination). Maybe where Spyro came back, it was a more prosperitous place than the old dragon cities, perhaps where most of the dragons got away to until they eventually forgot about the evil purple dragon, or just "remembered" it as a superstition. Check. I don't know if you'd be able to reinstate a set number of hits into things until later, if at all, but resetting Spyro to only using fire could be a failsafe (ala beginning of Eternal Night) or played for laughs as Spyro handicapping himself to make it more challenging. The "worlds" could be a single continent with varying climates because of the dragons' influence on it. Ok.

...and here's where I stop rambling on what could have been or what could be, because I run out of ideas at how to change the developers' minds on how to do a complete change from linear game to a game with something hidden in places noone would think of at first until they actually tried. Anyone wanting to add on to it is welcome, and sorry if this is too old to post in. It was just too enticing not to.

I would like to see a spyro game where the dragon world and our world meet. Why? I think it just be really interesting, especially if it happened in modern times and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this.

Original all the way. I just like the environment and characters of the original games more than newer stuff. In the next Spyro game should be lots of shorter levels like in the original games. And Spyro should only be able to breath fire no electric or anything else. Maybe they could do a 2 disc game with disc 1 the new game disc 2 the original three games. And possibility to change the language. I live in Finland but i don't want that Spyro talks Finnish. That just sounds too weird for me. And they should fix the problem of the original games. They are too short.

part of what made the first 3 Spyro games so awesome was the concept of stepping outside of boundaries. even without a single glitch, the developers allowed you to do this in a sense: you were a dragon yes, but you couldn't fly, you could only breathe short-range fire, and could only charge at certain speeds. just when you would get tired of one of these, you would get a super-fly powerup, or a more powerful breath. they one-upped themselves yet again in Spyro 3 with Frozen Alters, where you had a freeze breath throughout the whole level.

Yeah in special missions it's allowed to Spyro breath other than fire. By the way Agent Zero mission is my favorite orb mission.

All your ideas are brilliant, but here is what I say. Why don't we just have an online spyro mmorpg? It would work out, with full dragon customization and quests. New ones coming in every update, perhaps even the ability to create user groups so you can do quests together. I realize how much time this would take, but with enough people and enough $Money$, a really good mmorpg could be made. It could have places from all the spyro games, made in better graphics. What is your opinion on this?

I like both the Original and the Legends series. Each have their own charms to it. If there were to be a new Spyro game, I would love to see a free roam game and a deeper storyline.

ideally, i would like another classic game. but i can just see that being hard to replicate; you'd have to get just the right people in just the right state of mind to be able to get that special feeling in there again. that could apply to anything by the way, but Spyro's a good example.

another TLOS game would be okay to me too. there would be more "free" in "free flight". imagine that flying in the pirate levels, or the dreams, Convexity... also, no preppy DOTD Cynder. i found her just fine in TEN.
