Yeah, GCSE is awesome. One thing I find funny is when people in Year 9 and 10 complain about revision... they don't even know what they're talking about ![]()

Yeah, I agree. My high school had a basic computer class. Guess what I
learned? How to click on crap and to type faster. (I learned nothing.)

It's strange. 2 years ago we only had two types of computer courses. Software Applications (learning to type and open up the internet), and Microsoft certification courses (one for Word, Excel, and Access). However, last year Cisco (the company), gave our school money and equipment for holding a networking course, and because one of our math teachers use to work in IT, he was able to teach it. They call it "Cisco Networking", but you learn very few proprietary thing. I actually just finished Cisco II (each is a half year course), so I'm able to get a CCENT certificate if I want. After I finish the second two, I can get a CCNA.
Our school is also holding more computer classes too. Just this year we had an Intro to Programming class. Granted I didn't really want to take it (very basic stuff I already sort of knew), it was a requirement for Hardware Programming. We learned how to program arduino boards, use tiny IC chips for certain functions, talk to computers, etc; which was actually pretty interesting. Next year they are putting on an IT essentials course, but I'm assuming that's basic IT repair and maintenance. They're also looking to put on an AP Comp Sci course too, but they need a certain amount of people to sign up for it.
They seem to be putting a lot more effort into our technology department.

Must be why they called it basic computer class.
