Finals/Summer

For those of you who are in school, have you had your finals yet? When do you get out of school?

I had my last two yesterday. I got lucky this year and none of them were actual exams, just presentations. I start work at the school IT help desk on Monday and move in to my apartment in June.

June I think 7th is the start of summer. And I finished my finals yesterday.

Final midterms went out today at 8:00. Our midterms for the fourth and final 9 weeks. We get out of school on June 7, but this week, on the 11th of May, we get out of school for the High School Prom. We also get out on the 28th, for which reason I don't know why.

My school has a policy where, if you get a 90% or higher as your final grade, you are not required to take the final.

Of course, there are a few exceptions. If the class is AP, college accredited, or certified course, you can't miss it. You also can't miss them if you were too absent/tardy, missing too much work, or your teacher tells you otherwise.

I only need to take 2 exams, and one for college credit.

After crunching the numbers, I have to get at least 38% on my calc exam to get 70% in the class. I know I did better than that.

Finished up my last two finals this morning. (Environmental Conservation and Biology) I think I might have gotten all A's this semester! I'll have to cross my fingers about the Biology exam though.

So I'm just chilling at home now...so much nicer than those freaking dorms. Start back at Culver's next weekend lol.

What level of Calc are you in, JazzJackrabbit?

I'm not in school so thankfully I don't have to take finals or exams. When I was in community college though I took my finals and passed 5 of them.

They were really laid back presentations. Two were for CS classes, where there are less than 10 people and I know most of them, and one was for management where we had to talk for less than a minute.

I'll come visit some weekends when I'm not working. You should come visit the apartment sometimes, too.

I've got 2 French Exams next week, the week after I have 2 English Exams, a Chemistry Exam and an RS Exam, and the week after I have another English Exam and a Physics Exam.
Next month I have 2 Maths Exams, a Statistics Exam and a Biology Exam.
I did my Art Exam a few weeks ago.

I have mid year exams in June and I start mid year holidays on the 30th.

I'm going to ace my Chem and English exams like a murdertank.

Swaffeh is sad. He got a 65 on his final for Intermediate PC Operating
Systems flex course. No bueno! Not good at all.

Not sure about my College Algebra class, but I have no worries about that.

Today (Friday, May 11) at 12, I have a final for my Intro to PC Operating
Systems class. It should be easier, maybe. I'm expecting it to be hard so that
I won't go into shock when I see the problems.

You were taking Intro and Intermediate at the same time? How'd you get them to let you do that? Wouldn't Intro be a prerequisite for Intermediate?

Study Leave starts on 25th of May for me, which means I only have to go to school for Biology, Maths, Physics and English afterwards. Then, after the half-term, I only have to be in for Biology and Maths.

Well, one of my programming classes got canceled so they put me into two
flex courses for my A+ certification. That included Computer Hardware and
Intermediate PC OSs. Not my choice, but whatever floats their kayak.

Colleges ... they do stuff that's weird. Which is pretty normal these days.

Haha, I'm sure you'll make it. I got lucky and took Calc I in high school, so once I got to college, it was a breeze. Luckily I don't have to go any further with math though. I heard Calc II can be a *bleep*.

Oh, I found out yesterday that I got an A in 3 of my classes, and managed an A- in Biology. (amazing because I averaged a 66% on the lab practical exams, haha)

Yea, I had finished school yesterday, but technically it doesn't end until next Tuesday. Some people still need to take finals where I go.

You Americans finish way too early. Most people in the UK don't finish until mid-next month. However, I finish next Monday because that's when my last exam is.
