Re: Why the site was down
Democracy on the internet. Hah.
It doesn't matter, she bagged the site. It is, to a limited extent, hers.
That's my understanding anyway. But I know bugger all about making websites, so maybe I'm wrong.
It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living.

Re: Why the site was down
If you want Stormy, I am pretty good at networking and databases. And someone else said they can do some website design. If you have any trouble on the technical side, just ask someone on the board.

Thanks, I got it though.
Since it's a free forum, they pretty much do all the database stuff for you; you can't access it except through their interface. That's why I was so confused that there were errors: there was no way I could have messed it up.

Pretty sure the site she 'bagged' took her 10 minutes to set up. I could do the same.
No offense Stormy ![]()

Well yeah, it did take about five seconds and just about anyone could do it, but that doesn't negate the fact that I made it first. Or that I'm the mod and none of you are. ![]()

Re: Why the site was down
I doubt this website took 10 minutes to set up.
But we need an admin who can stay active here and keep updating it where
needed, such as those boxes in the SpyroForum picture at the top-left corner.
A website sometimes feels dead if the admin is [visually] inactive.

Re: Why the site was down
Skylanders is actually doing surprisingly well. It's getting good reviews and people generally like it. Heck, I'd probably like it at least a little if I didn't have to spend any money on it.
It's really just the Spyro fandom that thinks it's a completely terrible idea, it seems.

I dunno, I can't find their rating. Look it up if you want to know. They have links to other press ratings, though; the average so far is 9.0.

No kidding about the the fan base the day it started recieving good reviews, quite a few people went to the youtube trailer and spammed the down vote.
But I've enjoying it quite a bit and glad I bought it.

Re: Why the site was down
Well, I hope not. Because then, all of those "2012 believers" will be correct.
God said so Himself that no human being can know when the world will end.
(If you believe in Him, of course, like I do.)
I don't think Skylanders will affect me much. It's the CoD punks who get on
my last nerve. I've been playing Battlefield a lot, and I've been seeing a lot of
Call of Duty fanboys [kids] with gamertags that have immature words such as
"poop" in them. (Yes, I saw a kid yesterday with the gamertag "PoopMaster.")
When MW3 gets released, all of the little kids will finally get off Battlefield
and stop infecting the servers with their annoying gameplay style. No more
dropshotting! No more noobs sitting back the whole game with their sniper rifles.
