Re: Behind your back?

Swaffy's right on that one. I mean if I ever tried to fight back shivers. I would not like the end result.

I guess one thing you can do is surround yourself with friends. If they talk about you. You have people that have your back.

am i the only person who had to resort to actually fighting back? hmm

Problem with that is: Fighting back only has negative results.

Sometimes it does take physical action, but usually no more than grabbing the antagonist's shirt collar and using a serious voice of annoyance.

Re: Behind your back?

Good idea JazzJakRabbit. But what if you were in school and you do that? They may tell a principal or teacher.

Re: Behind your back?

A goofball kept spanking people as he walked by them, so a friend of mine grabbed his collar and said "stop" calmly and seriously.  He stopped since for the most part, and no one got in trouble, and no one got hurt.  It's terrible when a kid defends himself and gets in trouble.  I wouldn't recommend physical confrontation when the problem is gossip, because there is a good chance they are in a conspiracy to get the victim in trouble.

Re: Behind your back?

physical action doesn't always *only* have negative results. you know, i'm not condoning violence; i hate violence, and i'm not saying it's the only way, but i'm not going to try and say everything's going to be fine if you just sit around and ignore them. i hate to say it, but sometimes that's just not good enough.

my fights have been a mixed bag: i lost a few, (and since i did something really stupid in one of them, i was mocked for a long time for it), but i also won a few, which gained me a few weeks of popularity.

but if it gets down to it, and there's no other way, i personally think it's better to just let it happen, as long as you believe in yourself and your victory (also keeping in mind the risk of detention or in-school-suspension). LIKE I SAID, it's not right, it's bad, but worse things happen when people are bullied too long without resolution.

this probably isn't what people want to hear, but heh, a lot of things that come out of my mouth (keyboard?) aren't.

Agreed. Take that kid slamming that bully at that school for instance. Kid did the right thing.

Re: Behind your back?

Admit it your all way to scared to actually fight your bullys. It's nothing to do with "sinking to there levall" or "never resorting to violance"

Re: Behind your back?

It's allright I was scared of my bullys so much that I forced myself to make some freinds for backup. I guess I can thank my them for that I suppose.

Re: Behind your back?

The green monster in me use to bare his fangs every now and then but I've calmed down. It wasn't because I was afraid of the bullies. I was afraid it would ruin relationships because my temper sometimes gets out of control. And I did not want to snap or get mad at a very special someone. Although I should probably should do what ontels did and surround myself with friends.
