Gameplay?

We know quite a bit about this game by now, but I still feel kind of in the dark about the actual gameplay. The small amount we've seen showcases characters fighting enemies, but that's obviously because that's more exciting for a teaser trailer.

Do we know anything about what the gameplay will be like? It looked like a top-down view, so maybe it's something like Crash of the Titans? What's the ratio of platforming to fighting?

I also seem to recall pads in the game that sprung characters high into the air, but other than that I haven't seen a lot of jumping and/or gliding like in Classic Spyro. Wasn't flight listed as one of Spyro's moves? Does that just mean he glides whereas other characters can't, or is it more DotD style freeflight? Or does it start as gliding but then upgrade to flight with enough XP?

I'm not sure we know yet, so unless someone feels like picking apart the two or three minutes of footage so far I think all we can do is speculate.

Re: Gameplay?

The gameplay is platforming, and I think you can switch between top-down view if possible.

You need to upgrade Spyro in order to get the Flight ability.

Re: Gameplay?

From what I see, it's a watered down version of the classics.

Yo, Spyro
I'm really happy for you, but Jazz Jackrabbit is one of the best platformers of all time.
