Well, in cae you haven't heard already, I'm learing the basis of how to make my own fan game right now! So it's entirely possible! wink

What can I say? I just love video games! But I happily don't let them control my life. Let that be a lesson to you

Re: Future game corporation

Is that you know how to program, or you know how to burn a disc?

I'm looking forward to help do Level Design. I'm taking a course at high school anyway.

I don't care how it looks but how it functions

It is better to start young. Helps you remember stuff.

Re: Future game corporation

Man i second that statement.....

But i have news for you guys, If you want to make games on your own right now and gain some knowledge before you start any of the classes i would look at a few things and see what you like.

*Blitz3d|Blitz Plus|Blitz Max
DarkBasic|DarkBasic pro
Multimedia Fusion
Game Maker

Personally i would really look at Blitz.
Blitz3D, is 3d game programing or 2D. this one is the best of both worlds, But it doesnt do cross platform. But you can make a 2d game with 3d code. And makes 2d look sick!
BlitsMAx is 2d right now but cross platform, Windows,Mac,Linux
BlitzPlus is 2d

DarkBasic has a steeper learning curve then blitz, I did not like it too much and im selling my Legit copy of DB pro and 2 books if anyone is interested.
Here is a link to read bout it and look at images:

Re: Future game corporation

I want to be a video game maker when I get older too. I'm taking a visual basics course in high school. I want to specialize in platforming adventure games.
