The three older dragons looked on with disbelief. "But... I KILLED you!" Serm was certain that he had - she showed no vital signs upon examination. "Where was your heartbeat? Your breathing? There wasn't anything!" Then he remembered that everything about these lands was strange. He was still very unpleased.
"No problem. We'll just kill her again!" Jeren said as he quickly charged and fired some lightning, hoping to quickly strike the newly risen Lumistar down before she could react.

Lu grinned, it was nighttime now and she was at her utmost powerful. Her body seemed to blur as she ran behind Jeren, dodging the beam he had charged up.

"You'll kill me? Really? I'll tell you a secret..." she then leaned over his shoulder to whisper, though the others could probably hear her too. "I am already dead."

With a giggle she leapt up towards the ceiling, grabbing onto it and crawling across it so that she was directly above Dayn's desk.

"You know, this is your fault really my Lord. If you hadn't gone all high and mighty and killed Nithran I wouldn't have killed all of your men. And if Busa, Silver and I weren't running from you after that I wouldn't have been bitten by a vampire. Heh, long story short I want blood... and I do mean literally." With a menacing hiss Lu showed off her now huge canines and her eyes seemed to flash.

Her instincts had been held back too long... much too long...

'Enough of this.' Dayn snarled and clapped three times, and all five of his concealed men dived from their cover, and quickly took up positions around the desk, watching Lumistar. 'You are charged with trespassing,' Dayn intoned solemnly, 'resisting arrest and the murder of several young men. The punishment is execution.' Dayn gripped a curved dagger he had hidden under his desk. He felt like the rabbit staring down the snake. He could only hope his five men were swift.

The appearence of five more dragons snapped the remaining control Lumistar had. With a shriek she attacked the Guard nearest the window, her jaws clamping down on his neck before he had a chance to move. She was so overly zealous that she pretty much almost severed the poor creatures' neck, killing him instantly and sending blood spurting in all directions.

Spilt blood was just going to make things worse and Lu growled as she fed from the dead guard, blood from the ceiling dripping onto her back and only fuelling her anger more.

(I intend for her to go a bit berserk now, the only way to kill her would be to disembody her, which will be hard when she's constantly moving (it only takes her a few seconds to drain someone). I don't want her to kill Dayn yet though, that'll be a waste. Do you think you could have Dayn flee to the dungeons eventually Aceedwin? That way we can bring Ophelia into the story?)

"Why are all of these guards so fragile?" Jeren asked. He was somewhat intimidated by the ease of which Lumistar had killed one of them, and she was... drinking blood? Why were these people so WEIRD? Anyways, he was not about to let his feelings show. He and Serm moved in to protect Dayn. The last thing they wanted was for the very man that could help them to be killed. They would wait for her to come to them.

OOC: That won't work. Why go to the dungeons? Instead, we could move the fight to some kind of hall, and blow a hole in the floor, which just so happens to lead into Ophelia's cell. I find that more logical.

'All at once,' Dayn shouting pointing rather dramatically, 'Pin her!' His guards, rallied somewhat, immediately dove forward, all shooting forward in a semi circle, two passing above Dayn himself.

Dayn quickly turned to his desk and yanked upon the second drawer down, filled with objects of a sharp or otherwise deadly persuasion. He selected another dagger, and hesitantly picked a red glass orb, which he had plenty of suspicions about, but not quite as many as his current situation. Attack him on home turf would she? Such an action was an insult to the art of war!

Shadows seemed to roll around Lumistar as she enveloped herself in them. The Guards effectively would pass through it and likely hit each other.

A Lumistar-shaped shadow then leapt from the opposite direction and attacked the slowest Guard, the shadows faded from her as she fed. She didn't expect to have chance to finish because she was being attacked.

(Sure, that's fine. I had the idea that the walls of the dungeon would be more reinforced because it holds fugitives... Oh well, onward to battle!)

Lumistar was in one place now. Despite his exhaustion, he soon charged up more lightning and fired again. Due to his lack of focus, though, the lightning missed, instead hitting some paper and starting a fire.

Serm was glad there was a new light source now. He always did prefer being able to distinguish things easily in combat. Who was she? What was she? She had said she was a vampire - what was a vampire, anyways? She looked like a dragon... Now, he rushed at her, aiming to get a good swipe at her eyes.

What can I do? Marka wondered. She was a flier, not a fighter, unlike her friends. And the room gave limited space for that. She would just wait and see what happened.

The swipe hit Lumistar between the eyes again, hitting the small slash along her muzzle he had inflicted earlier and opening it up further, her upper jaw-bone was even visible. She didn't seem bothered by it in the slightest.

"Ah you, your blood tasted nice before..." With that she aimed to bite the nearest of Serm's appendages, which happened to be his right arm. Last time she only bit enough to pierce his skin, this time she bit much harder. The feeling of her teeth sinking in caused her to growl and attempt to pin Serm to the floor to stop him pulling away.

Serm's arm was in great pain. Why wouldn't she bleed? Her bones were visible! This time, though, he began swiping at her eyes with his free claws, rather than pounding as he did before. She certainly wouldn't do so well without them. Was she really trying to pin him? He couldn't really swing his arm to throw her off - rather, he would just roll when he was knocked down.

"Just hold her still..." Jeren said as he was panting. Both lightning bolts had greatly drained him, and he was walking towards the two. At such a close range, he surely wouldn't miss a shot... though it would be even more pushing than two shots had already been to him. Maybe it would be better to just swing his tail and hope that it hit her somewhere it would hurt...

Okay, I need to do something... Marka thought. But what? She wasn't under attack, and she wasn't tired, and she had perfectly usable claws. She just needed an opportunity.

She carried on draining Serm's blood, but after two near-misses Lumistar let go; more from self-preservation than common sense. She was being ruled by her instincts and basic emotions now, thinking didn't come into it in the slightest.

She could hear Jeren's panting and the predator in her told her to aim for the weak one, so she instead lunged towards him, aiming to bite him in the shoulder.

Seeing Lumistar lunge towards him, Jeren swung her tail, aiming for her face, just as Serm had. "We're going to kill you for real this time..." He would be too exhausted to stop her from reaching him if this failed.

Serm was tired too, after losing so much blood. His arm was very weak, but still somewhat usable, and he still had a good one. I let her do that again? He ran towards Lumistar again, aiming to help Jeren bring her down.

Lu swerved to the side, aiming to run around Jeren's tail, if it hit Serm instead, so much the better. Lu didn't want to work for her meal though and deceided to try moving on from the annoying ones that were bouncing around... She instead aimed for some otherwise motionless female. There was a helpless youngster behind her, but for some reason Lu ignored her despite the fact that the youngling would be easier to take down.

Like lightning, Marka flew upwards, that at least she could do. She flew over the others, aiming to lure Lumistar towards them - that's what they wanted, right? Bali was running to the other side of the room.

Lu stopped and followed Bali's movements with her eyes, seeming to battle with herself for a moment before she left the hatchling be and went for Marka instead, she put no thought into the attack at all, due to the fact that she had gone haywire.

As Lumistar neared, Serm lunged at her, aiming to take her down, while Jeren moved in to claw at Lumistar's eyes. Marka, at least, would be safe, but they had to make sure the same was true for Bali.

Having apparently been forgotten, Dayn rolled back behind his desk and kicked it over. He stroked his red orb gently, and scanned the area, Lumistar was duelling with the four younglings, duelling being used in a very broad sense. He considered his options, and found them to be overbearingly few. Dayn stood up and chucked the ball quite accurately towards the feet of Lumistar. The ball contained explosive gas, that would ignite on contact with oxygen.

To counter Serm and Jeren Lumistar let out a burst of fire which radiated outwards. When a vampire has injested blood, the blood enhances their strongest trait. For some it would be strength, for others speed. For Lu it was her elemental attack. The flame she produced was blood red and hotter and more powerful than it would normally be.

Bad move though.

The flames shattered the outer coating of the red orb and combined with the flames that were already in the room a huge explosion rocked the castle. Lumistar was in the epicentre of it and shrieked as the light from the explosion assailed her light-sensitive eyes and burnt her body.

Jeren and Serm were very close to the explosion. It hit both of them, hitting Serm on his damaged arm and hitting Jeren on a wing. Some of Jeren's scales were blackened by both the fire and the explosion. "Are you okay?" Bali asked.

Ophelia POV

Ophelia lay down on her back on the bench and sighed dramatically. No-one had even passed through the corridors, so therefore, no-one to ask about the red rain or the vampires. The other prisoners didn't help either, since most of them were either psychotic or refused to speak.

But there was a great deal of commotion going on upstairs, or so it seemed. There had been a lot of shouting and banging over the past few minutes. Ophelia didn't know whether to be concerned or just down right annoyed. Was having a small cat-nap too much to ask?

Suddenly, Ophelia heard the most almighty explosion. Before she even had time to react, the ceiling collapsed. Ophelia screamed and, using her wings to propel herself, launched herself to one of the back corners of the cell, as close to the wall as she could. She shrieked loudly as rubble came crashing down with an almighty roar, and the screams of the other prisoners could be faintly heard over the racket.

As soon as the falling of rubble ceased, Ophelia clung to the wall, staring at the scene and breathing deeply and quickly. What on earth had happened?! Ceilings didn't just collapse on their own. Still, that explosion... She eventually calmed down and stepped away from the wall, eyeing the rubble carefully. Had someone fallen through, or worse, been crushed? Sadly her movements were restricted even more, since the chain had partially been caught under the rubble too, so it was much harder to move.

Lifting her leg was a challenge now, but somehow she managed to get closer to the pile of stone, glancing upwards nervously in case more fell on her. Vaguely spotting movement on the floor above, she looked up and yelled, "What the hell was that?!" It occurred to her that it was likely that someone was hurt, so she called cautiously, "Are you OK?"

Lumistar had fallen through the ceiling and was buried in the rubble; she was completely dazed and didn't know which way was up, but at least she was out of her psychotic rage.

She was vaugely aware of a chain that was buried with her right next to her nose, but she was too dizzy to realise anything else.

No response from up above. Strange... Ophelia could swear she saw movement. She diverted her attention back to the rubble. She gasped as she noticed a hint of brownish red scales underneath one of the slabs of stone.

"It's OK, I'll get you out!" Ophelia reassured whoever it was, and then pushed the stone as hard as she could. Seeing as she wasn't that strong (plus weaker than usual due to the fact that she hardly ate any more), it took a moment or two. Eventually, the stone rolled off and Ophelia got a better view of the dragoness underneath.

Ophelia gently shook the dragoness' arm. "Hello? Can you hear me? Are you OK?"

Lu heard mumbling, then she felt a sizeable rock roll off of her and it was as if someone had unplugged her ears. A female voice asked her if she was alright and she honestly didn't know the answer to that one.

Without opening her eyes Lu surveyed her injuries which her mind. She was covered in burns, probably third degree ones, but the skin would drop off and heal after a few weeks. She also had one hell of a cut on her face, which hurt really bad. The weirdest thing was, Lu couldn't remember anything that she had just done. She remembered everytime she had injested blood, but how she got it and who she had drained she had no idea. Groaning Lu sat up and started rubbing at her eyes, that explosion had been bright, it had hurt her eyes. She also had a lot of dust in her cut, as well as caked in her burns... which certainly explained why they were throbbing so much.
