"Well, eh..." Silver didn't know what to say. It felt weird to talk to someone who is the father of your dearest friend, but doesn't know about her. "It were good times, that's for sure. I was like 14, she was probarbly 11. We met in a forest, where she lived. That's what she said. So she was there every day. So was I. We hunted together, and I brought her food for some reason. We decided to stay together, and we did... for 7 years that is..."

"Sorry for asking..." Busa said uneasily. "It's just that... I remember how she was when she was a child... I just wanted to know if she had changed much. If she was upset..." His old heart pounded at the thought of his daughter calling him in tears. He shuddered, before placing his hand on Silver's shoulder. "You looked after her... When she had no-one. I can't thank you enough, Silver. Someday, I promise, I shall repay you." He smiled and realised his grip. "So... how did you two stop seeing each other?" He asked nervously.

"Third floor, got it!" Lu then scurried off and away from Nino and a disappeared Krucifi, letting them do... whatever they were going to do.

She headed downwards first. The place reminded her of a bat's cave, it was pitch-black, cold and the air was stale. However, she found that she loved it. She also noticed that because it was so dark she couldn't see in colour, not that she was bothered, at least it kept away the burning...
There seemed to be no end to the number of levels going down. She found that each level had small side-tunnels which she guessed were each vampire's private rooms or something. That was just a guess though, but it was likely a good one as she got growled at when she tried to go down one... Needless to say she had scarpered pretty quick.

After exploring and finding nothing else very interesting (all the levels were pretty much the same in the way they looked), she decided to start heading upwards to this... meeting or whatever.
She quite enjoyed crawling on the ceilings and she found that if she hugged her body to the shadows it was like she were stood on top of a landslide, she suddenly seemed to be able to move so much faster. It explained what Nino had done earlier at least.
She crawled through a hole into a higher level and she froze as she came face-to-face with that door again. She had almost forgotten about it, but now her curiosity came flooding back. She had to see what was behind that, even if it was just a peek around the door...
Looking around Lu couldn't hear, smell, see or feel anyone around her so she scurried over to the door, trying to be as quiet as she could. She reached out to the handle of the door... she hoped it wasn't locked...

(X, do you want to roleplay a random guard who finds A Guy's characters and takes them to see Dayn? Or shall I do it?)

Dayn watched curiously as the twin brothers he had hired wired their way through a seemingly informationless clearing, pointing out footprints, broken twigs and the like, with all the contendedness of people who had found a really, really large jigsaw. Dayn wondered how people became people like them. People who turned the impossible into the mundane. How the paths of our lives twist and curl undulating in the grand rhythm of destiny, he quoted gently, and then straightened up.
'What can you tell me, then?'
'Well, we have discovered the tracks of two of those you described, the old one, and one other, not sure whom. They go off in a north-westerly direction, and they seemed quite agitated from the surrounding animals tracks.'
Dayn was silent for a moment, 'You made that last bit up?'
'Tracking involves a great deal of guesswork, sir. The trick is to guess right a lot.'
'Indeed. Well then, continue on. Sergeant, you take point. Keep your eyes ahead.'
'Yessir!'

The door was unlocked. Weird noises came from behind it.

(Sure, you can if you want Saphira. I only suggested it so that X had some RPing to do when the story wasn't focused so much on Busa and Silver, because unless you two get them to find something interesting while they are searching, they are just going to be walking around and talking until we get A Guy's characters to meet Ophelia for whatever reason.

Don't worry about it Aceedwin. We could just change it so that the 'wandering guard' who finds A Guy's bunch meets Dayn and his twin trackers while they're on their way back or something? Not sure, we just need to get them all to meet because A Guy is RPing with himself at the moment. A large group moving through the forest wouldn't go unnoticed by trained trackers for long in my opinion.)

Lu poked her head around the side of the door.

"Hello?" She said, barely above a whisper. She then walked inside, closing the door quietly behind her.

Lu was in another tunnel, the same as all the others had been. However in this one there were no side-tunnels. Crawling up onto the ceiling, and being as quiet as she could, Lu headed towards the sounds.

After a short break, the group had come to the conclusion that they were hungry.

"Bah... how much food do we have left?" Serm asked.
"Not much," responded Marka, "but from what I could see in this storm, I believe there was some sort of forest nearby... that means animals, right?" She recalled the memory of her first hunting trip. It was satisfying, although her friends had little ability for stealth. They either picked off their targets or outran them.
"Ah, yes, hunting... I would like to try it again... although, are you sure you saw a forest? It would be very hard to see in this rain..."
"I trust her," said Jeren, "she's been right in the past. We just need to make sure we don't get lost..."

"What about the search for Dayn?" Serm asked. "We need to get the antidote as soon as possible."
"Ah, I wouldn't worry about it..." said Jeren. "We won't spend too much time there, right?"

With this new destination in mind, the group headed off for their temporary respite.

Lu inched her way closer, she was sure his was the voice she could hear. But her mind was in denial, she had seen him run thorugh with her own eyes so there was no way he could be alive still...

Indeed it was Nithran. His back was to her and facing a rather large gate. The gate had a swirling red portal with silver streaks in it. "It's open now." He said to no one in particular.

Nithran immediatly turned and shot an orb of red energy at her. It was at that time that a giant mouth could be seen on his chest.

The light was a shock to her more than anything, but she found that she could dodge the energy-ball quite easily and with little effort on her part. She landed on the floor in a crouch, about 15 feet in front of Nithran. She then spotted the... mouth on his chest.

"Woah, what happened to you? I thought you were dead!"

Regardless of the bravado she was showing though, Lu still took a few steps back, she was quite creeped out at the moment.

"Well... It was very weird, but one day, I didn't see her and from that moment never again... I searched for her for ages, but I gave up and left it as it was. But I did never forget her." Silver said, almost leaving a tear.

"I see..." Busa thought long and hard about what Silver had said. Suddenly disappearing... why could that be? Busa almost smacked himself in the head when a brief but grave guess came to him. NO! She didn't die. If she survived that horrific raid, she can survive anything. "Well... One thing I remember about Ophelia is that she's very shy. Perhaps she just felt she needed to move on?" He suggested cautiously.

((Obviously the reason she went missing was because Dayn caught her.))

(Right, I'll do it then, seeing as I've got something in my head right at this moment! tongue )

Roark, one of Dayn's bodyguards stumbled through the forest. During that orange dragoness' fury attack he had been blown backwards and into the only wall left standing. It had crumbled on top of him and he had been unconscious for hours. The red dragon wasn't all that badly wounded though; only superficial scrapes and bruises due to the falling stones and a few burns from the dragoness' fire. However, his left wing was dislocated, so flying was out of the question for him at the moment. Noone had really noticed he was missing, or if they did they didn't care. Roark was low-ranking, had only joined a few months ago and had only just passed training; so he wouldn't have been considered a major loss.

"Man, this rain is disgusting, I'm glad it stopped..." He mumbled as he wove through the undergrowth, leaving an obvious trail where he had been through the layer of crimson which coated everything.

Without being able to fly it was going to take him a long time to get his bearings; he knew which direction the castle was in but he didn't know where he was in comparison to it. Suddenly he realised he was looking at a trail in the fallen blood-rain in front of him, everything else was coated in a layer of red but here he could see flecks of green where it had been brushed off of the plants. His luck was getting better, maybe the rest of the Guard came this way? By the looks of it the trail was only about half an hour fresh. Smiling to himself he ran along the trail, he was young and fit so had no doubt he would catch them up in no time.

(That's A Guy's characters he is running after just so you all know. wink )

"Could be... But why would she leave without telling?" Silver sighed, as he was on the lookout for Lumistar at the same time. "Let's concentrate on Lu now. If we can't find her, there's even more trouble."

"Then die again." Niothran said as the scales on his shoulders ripped. On his right shoulder, a large eye formed. On his left, another mouth formed. This occured in random parts of his body. His right arm turned into a massive tentacle-like whip that he extented, intending to impale her.
