Lu stopped with her.

"Oh..." She felt like an idiot, that point was kind of obvious and she would have blushed if she could. But she was still curious so after a pause she continued. "So is Krucifi the Lead Vampire then?"

"Correct, and I am his mate. He would have slaughtered your friends if he went. you would have been less willing if he did." Nino said as she dropped down again

"No kidding..." She mumbled as she dropped down after Nino. The height of the drop was almost exactly the same as the last time. "Where are we? And how many floors are there?"

Lu's eyes seemed to be drawn to the door, she couldn't shake the feeling that there was definately something significant behind it.

"What's through there?" She asked while she slowed to get a better look at the door.

"Do not go in that door. Beyond that lies something that even we are too afraid to go near." Nino responded hastily, trying to get away from the door.

"You're too afraid to go in it?" Lu asked incredulously. She was really curious and wanted to at least have a peek. However, Nino seemed to want to be away from it. She carried on following Nino, making a mental note of where the door was for later, after all there didn't seem to be many other vamires around, maybe she could sneak in...

Ever the timid one, Lu scrambled down the hole Nino had gone down like the Devil himself was behind her. However, on a moments reflection she realised that she wasn't far off from being that herself. She never dropped right down next to Nino, rather she clung onto the ceiling, with her head still poking up through the hole into the floor above them, the one with the door.

"What the heck was that?" She asked in a rush, so much so that it was hard to make out what she had said.

"That's Krucifi, seeing how you would react should he decide to freak you." Nino explained as a loud growling came from around them, "Introduce yourself, Lu."

Lu's face fell. How on earth was she suppossed to introduce herself to a growling vampire which she couldn't locate? A friendly handshake perhaps? Yeah, not likely...

"M-my name is Lumistar. I understand you are the one who bit me?" Her voice wavered a bit, but it was clear.

Lu didn't know what to say to that.

"Err... Thanks?" She said as she looked around to try and see where he was. She finally dropped down to the ground next to Nino as she was looking.

"Oh how I wish to taste it again..." Krucifi's voice continued as he stepped out of the shadows. Nino went over to him and nuzzled him, "There is no possible way for you to return...so you are with us...forever!" he cackled.

Lu thought about that. She was a vampire forever, and she had forever to live... Suddenly, an idea occured to her. She wasn't sure if the subject was too forward, but she was curious.

"Forgive me if this is much too forward, but I remember Nino saying that you and she are mates... Can Blo-Vampires reproduce?"

She mentally kicked herself as soon as she said it, but it was said now.

Both vampires looked surprised at her question. Krucifi simply growled while Nino giggled. "Yes, but only with other Blood creatures. Doing so with a living or non-Blood dracidon won't work. If you were attracted to one of the ones above...well, that's out of the question." Nino explained/

As soon as Krucifi growled Lu had looked at the floor. She thought it a harmless question before, but now she was highly embarassed. It was good to know though.

"No, I haven't loved anyone 'up there', not anywhere close to that much at least." She replied honestly. Though she didn't think she was quite happy with the fact that she could no longer be friends with Silver and Busa... Fate could be cruel sometimes... After a few seconds she recovered herself, her curiosity burning again she eagerly asked another question. "So, is there anything else to see?"

((OK, moving things on with Busa and Silver...))

Busa's bronze scales had turned a deep shade of crimson thanks to the rain. Thankfully though, it was not as heavy as it was earlier. He had guessed that it was triggered whenever those beasts were prowling around. The vein on his forehead trembled as hatred ran through his senses.

He stepped outside and looked around at the red landscape. Thousands of thoughts at once ran through his mind. After 20 years of endless searching, he had finally found out about Ophelia. She was alive when Silver had met her, but all Busa knew was that she had survived the raid. There was no evidence to suggest that she was still alive on this day...

Furthermore, Busa realised, she could been anywhere in the world. Just because she was (presumably) alive didn't mean she was near to him. She could've been on the other side of the world for all Busa knew. Don't get your hopes up. Busa told himself. Yes, she's most likely alive, but that doesn't determine that you'll find her any time soon. You may never find her. But still... A small smile formed under his brow. ...At least you've finally found out the truth. I'm sure she's looking for me too.

Busa wandered around the clearing randomly. "Now... Silver, which way did they go? Did you see?" He asked.

Silver nodded. "I've only seen that they went outside... But whoever seeks answers will find them soon enough, as they say. Let's head outside and search. Should we search around here, or go to where you saw Ophelia for the last time? What do you think? Lu or your daughter? Don't ask me, Lu's a good friend, but so is Ophelia. I'd love to see Ophelia again, but on the other hand we must find Lu as well..."

"Lu first." Busa replied immediately. "At least we know that she's nearby. Ophelia, on the other hand could be anywhere." He grunted while supporting his twinging knee on his staff. "This way." He muttered, limping towards the forest. "Silver... tell me everything you remember about Ophelia. What was she like?" He asked, while scanning the ground for clues as to where Lu and Nino had gone.
