Lu made her way to the entrance of the cave and watched Busa disappear into the red rain. She did as she was told and didn't follow any farther, but she would be ready to back him up if she heard fighting.
She glanced warily at the sky. Lu really hoped Busa found nothing; she had only just managed to scrape off the last dried remnants of the red rain from her scales, she didn't want to end up covered in it again.

Silver, who actually was pretty worried about Busa, looked silently how Busa left. He seemed to be quite uncomfortable. As he saw Lu did the same, he whispered to her: "Busa will be OK. He's very strong." But he wasn't really sure of that.

Busa breathed hard and sweat dripped at his feet. If it was those Blood dragons he'd... He'd... He wasn't sure if he'd attack in a rage or flee in terror.

He turned on the spot and raised his blade, the sun's rays reflected off it. "I'm warning you." He growled, "I won't hesitate to attack if you come any closer."

"He's certainly strong of will... But did you see how terrified he was at the mention of the Blood Dragons?" Lu replied back to Silver without taking her eyes off of the forest where Busa disappeared from view.

"Did you hear that? He thinks he can take us on..." An insane voice cackled as the sky became dark.

Silver sighed in a worrying way. "Maybe we should follow him anyway... What if it really are the Blood Dragons? You really think he can handle them alone? But yeah, he said we hadd to stay here. What do you think? We can't stay here and wait, can we?"

Dayn bottled up his flask. He would examine it later. He had a small laboratory for such occasions, and he'd been dying to use it properly. He was still attaching the bottle to his belt when Dorfl came crashing through the door. The surviving soldiers hesitated before running over, and Dayn could hear Dorfl groaning. He timidly approached and looked at Dorfl. He was beaten up, and there was a nasty cut reaching across his chest.
'Did you get them?' Dayn queried.
Dorfl merely groaned a little more.
Dayn nodded to himself, 'Very well. I want every trespasser involved in that attack to be added to the kingdom's wanted list. And get some posters up. But first, first let's get back to the citadel.'
His men affirmed his orders in a variety of ways, and lifted Dorfl up, taking him towards the citadel.

"I'll d@mn well try!" Busa growled. His stomach was doing flips and he felt very sick, but he tried not to show it as he circled on the spot, scanning the trees. "Come on then, don't be a coward."

Marka despised this strange rain. It engulfed her vision, covered everything below in a deluge of red, as if hundreds of thousands of dragons were being ripped apart in the skies and bleeding. Having to lug around a four-year-old who couldn't be trusted to sit still without walking off a mile away or getting hidden somewhere - or both - and was carping relentlessly added to her griefs. She did, however, have a general idea of where she had left, and was eventually able to return to the ruins. She could not, however, find her friends for the time being.

Busa whirled around to the sound, and pointed his blade at the red undergrowth. "You could at least show yourself!" He said, trying not to reveal the fact that he was trembling with fear. "We're not going to get very far doing this all day, are we?"

A glowing red scythe that seemed to be made out of blood of others appeared, "Tell me...have you ever fought a vampire?" The voice asked madly.

Busa breathed deeply, sweat dripping down his head and dripping at his feet. He felt a combination of pure fear and rage. Vampire...? No... please no... "I might have." He replied, trying to hide his fear. "As a result, you don't know whether I know how to fight you or not." He raised his blade again. "I must warn you. I used to be a trained warrior, and I still know a thing or two." He growled.

He was very tempted to call Lu and Silver for help, but it was obvious that this foe was no pushover. If they got hurt or killed because of him, he'd never forgive himself. He'd lost enough loved ones in his life, and he wasn't prepared to lose anyone else.

"How very noble! I can hear your blood pumping...yes, it will taste so delicious!" The vampire exclaimed as bright red lightning flashed above them. "More are coming..." He said with satisfaction as the lightning illuminated his body briefy. The vampire was a black wolf with blood red eyes that resembled the falling blood. Two large vampiric fangs came from his top muzzle and a large scar could eb seen through an opening on his black overcoat. The scar itself was not any particular color other than normal scar tissue. The overcoat stretched down to his feet and he only wore a pair of pants to cover everything else. The coat, however, made it seem like a bat's wing.

Lightning flashed again and he was gone.

Busa stopped trying to hold his food down - he staggered to a bush and threw up violently. Gasping and retching, a thousand thoughts at once flashed through his mind. Was it them? Was it really?

Standing up and looking at the undergrowth, he realised that the wolf was gone. The sky was still very dark, and the red rain still stained his shoulders. Busa staggered back to the cave and entered. "I... I saw... It was..." He stammered, slumping against the wall. "It's... It's them... Oh my, I have to sit..." He gasped, sliding down to the floor. "Those... Those murderers..."

Lu just knelt down in front of Busa with a shocked expression on her face. She was completely at a loss for words. She glanced warily outside, unsure whether they should flee or something.

"A-A vampire." Busa gasped, trying to breath deeply to prevent passing out. "Out there. Looked like a wolf it did. A black wolf. I-I remember them... They... Killed everyone..."

Lu growled then, deep in her chest.

"Well I hope they don't try killing us. They'll be in for at least a fight for our blood." She turned to face the entrance of the cave again.

Busa shallowed repeatedly and breathed deeply. He remembered them. Their cold leers... Their dripping fangs...

"W-We must leave!" He panted, "Please. We can't... I can't... let them hurt you both. Please! They show no mercy! They... terrify me. Please!" He begged, staggering to his feet and clutching his stomach.

Lu's tail whipped back and forth. Whatever these blood dragons had done in the past, it had completely terrified Busa, obviously. Lumistar was scared herself, her stomach was rolling, but she forced herself to keep her head.

"And where are we going to go? We have to wait until this rain stops, if one of them attacked us we wouldn't see them coming. At least here, there's only one entrance, and three of us."

"I don't care where we go!" Busa snapped, trying to calm himself down. "Just away from here. I can't... I can't let them take you two away as well." He grabbed his staff and staggered towards the cave entrance. Why are you so afraid of them? He asked himself, There are two reasons as to why you have sacrificed your life to travel the world. One is to find Ophelia. The other... His blue eyes narrowed and he growled loudly. ...Is revenge.

His feelings changed immediately. "I'll kill them... The bastards..." He growled.

"WHAT?" Silver looked at Busa in a serious way, though he didn't know what was going on in Busa's mind. "Come on, you really think you can handle them alone? Oh, *** it, I'm going with you." he said. He didn't want, just like Busa himself, to lose somebody again. "You're not going alone."
