Busa saw what was coming, but at the last second. As he attempted to dive aside, his age got the best of him, and one of the ice shards hit him in the face. It was a large, heavy one too, to make things worse...

"D@mn you..." He growled at Dayn as he hit his head on a slab of rock as he fell.

Lumistar was on the other side of the ruins and heard a few crashes before she saw some fireballs shooting through the sky. Thinking that whatever had attacked the ruins in the first place was coming back for a second round she darted in the general direction of the ruined courtyard, coming from the opposite side to Busa, she arrived on the scene just in time to see him attacked.

"Busa!" She shouted in a high-pitched voice that was close to a scream before she sent of three small fireballs which crackled and made a screeching noise similar to fireworks. They were very bright and were designed to tempoarily mess with her opponents vision and hearing, making them see spots and not be able to launch attacks as effectively. However, to protect her own eyes Lu closed hers, so she had no idea how many of the guards she had affected, if any.

OOC: Serm was trying to get their attention, but he doesn't have any idea of moderation.

"Do you think we got his attention?" Jeren asked.

"We better have. Maybe I should launch some more-"

"I see someone coming, let's land and introduce ourselves..." said Marka. "Wonder if it's this 'Dayn' guy we were referred to earlier."

The four began to get lower to the ground. They eventually landed.

Silver avoided some fireballs. Could they have seen me? No, I'm nearly invisible! He looked up. Nothing. Then he looked downwards. There was a group right beneath him. He recognized some of the people. Busa, Lumistar... DAYN! He cursed softly, as he saw a guard taking off, probarbly to kill either Silver or someone else. He couldn't attack. Obviously, because they were the ones that were trespassing, and they were outnumbered. But if they were outnumbered, would that mean that they had no chance to win? Not sure. He decided to wait, and come in for help if it was really needed. He mainly concentrated on the guard that would probarbly come to him.

Dorfl spun round a pillar, and slingshotted down towards the four newcomers. He pelted towards the ground, charging up power, and sent it pulsing through the floor.
The other bodyguard had caught some of the hissing attack from the dragon who had come to Busa's rescue. His hearing was gone, and his right eye felt fuzzy, a rare experience for anyone. Rolling out from cover, the bodyguard saw that the attacker had closed her own eyes. Pretty idiotic to use them without cover, he thought, and spat out a sheet of cold air, aiming to freeze the dragon's legs. If the legs in question later required amputation, well, she'd only have herself to blame.

Dayn cursed as the first four of his men fell face down, shouting, as a result of the screaming fireballs. Thankfully, the rest, including himself, had been covered by the wall (or in two cases, the people in front). 'Take cover!' Dayn shouted, giving an appropriate hand signal, just in case. The blinded four were dragged back, and propped up. Dayn realised that he still hadn't found whoever had throw that fireball. All of the other attackers had come from the air, and he'd been watching the original intruder...

He signalled to three of his men, and pulled away from the courtyard, hoping to find a way around, so he could flank his assailant.

OOC: Ooh, my head hurts.

Nithran heard some shouting and, leaning against the trees, went to investigate. Except when he tried to, he found something flying at his back and he simply dropped to avoid it. Shouts occured again except that they were coming towards him. Looking back, he found nothing there.

Lumistar opened her eyes in time to see a cloud of ice flying at her, in retaliation she breathed a wave of fire at it. Her horns glowed red as her fire counteracted the ice, but the ground became wet because of the water produced, somehow she managed to slip on a wet rock, but at least the rest of the icy blast aimed at her went over her head...

Lumistar rolled out of the way, across the ground. The floor was littered with rocks due to whatever devastating attack destroyed the area, and as a result she aquired many small cuts due to her action. But right now she didn't care.
She jumped at the guard's side as he landed where she had just been, aiming to land on his back and hopefully force him onto the ground or at least make a nuisance of herself where she couldn't be reached by his claws or by his breath attacks.

(Was I controlling the guard there or not? I'm not sure, if I was sorry Aceedwin, I'll scratch that bit.)

OOC: Don't worry. I'm not so much attached to that one.

The bodyguard turned awkwardly, impact still thronging through his tendons. He managed to turn straight into his opponents dive, and was catapulted painfully backwards, albeit to a safe distance from the dragoness. He just needed to hold out till Lord Dayn could get here... A thought occured to him, and while getting up, he laid a little black ice, as stealthily as he could, pretending to be shaking off concussion.

Dayn was prepared for this one. He dived awkwardly, in an amateur fashion, but it did the job, and the fireball blew a neat hole in a nearby bookcase. His men were already racing towards the source of the fireball. And Dayn ran to catch them up, scanning the shadows with a certain paranoid air about him.

"Thought you were going solo now?" She asked without looking at him and while checking her cuts.

(So I take it the guard she was fighting ran off to protect his master with the others?

And I think it was suppossed to send an electric current through the ground to shock your little group, A Guy. Though I guess it would affect some of them more than others... Isn't one of them electric-type? I forget...)

OOC: Okay, then, I'll just assume that.

The group wasn't expecting any attack. They thought that they had come innocently enough. Jeren was the first to be affected by the current, but he absorbed most of it, to the point that it was only a sharp tingle to the other three. It was very painful to Jeren, and he felt like what he would describe as an overloaded waterskin. However, he was very much in the mood to fight after this.

"Get her out of here, Marka," Jeren ordered, refering to Bali, "Serm and I will teach this barbarian a lesson."

"Oh, yes, this should be fun..." Serm muttered under his breath.

As Marka flew away with Bali in hand, Serm lunged straight for the attacker, while Jeren was looking for another opening.

OOC: Guy: Yes, he introduced a high voltage source to the floor, which will rapidly disperse in a current.
PF: No, what makes you say that? My guard got hit, launched a few metres back, and got up, stealthily laying some black ice as he went.

Dorfl held his ground, and went for a quick, kick-elbow combo, with his right foot misdirecting his opponent's attack, and his elbow aimed at his stomach.

The other bodyguard took a few surreptitious steps back. He'd dealt with one intruder, and could probably take one more, but three without a break. Lord Dayn had better get here soon, or I'm out, he thought grimly.

Dayn was getting twitchy. No-one there? He didn't like this kind of guerilla warfare. It turned warfare into simple fist-fighting. My bodyguards, I left them, he thought, and realised how bad that would sound in the barracks. He doubled back. Let it never be said that Lord Dayn would lose men to mere bandits!

(Sorry, it was the way Rurik had his character casually stroll out as if the bodyguard had gone, lol.)

Once she had checked her cuts Lumistar turned her attentions back to the guard, who seemed to have gotten over being hit. She thought for a second, launching a fire attack at him hadn't gone well for her, though launching a physical attack on him had. So she decieded to hedge her bets and run at him again.
Hopefully before he knew what was coming she ran headlong at him, but she hit the ever-so-slyly placed black-ice and skidded out of control towards him.

The bodyguard rolled smartly to the left, grinning. Strategy prevails that's what Lord Dayn said. The bodyguard used the opening to run back over to the troops. Now, all of a sudden, he was liking this fight a lot.

Once she was off of the black ice Lu rolled over and over through the dirt until she came to a stop on her back.

"Whoops..." She sat up to find that the bodyguard had scurried back to the rest of the troops. "Coward..." She muttered as she nacked towards Nithran and Busa.

'There're two out there.' the bodyguard said, huffing a little.
'And fifteen in here. Take a team of seven over to another entrance, and wait for my order.' Dayn had the stern look of someone who is definitely not dying today.
The bodyguard obliged, leading his new squad away. Dayn counted to ten, carefully, and to himself. Surround them!' he hollered down the half-demolished corridors, and journeyed into the frey himself, although at a respectable distance from the front. His men surged forwards, fanning out as they entered the courtyard, once again surrounding the trespassers, although thanks to their numbers, with a greater efficiency than earlier.
Dayn positioned himself so that he was in full view, although not too far from a possible exit. 'Surrender yourselves, now, and we won't need to execute you.' he said, without great volume, but in a tone of voice designed for maximum effect.
