Re: General Discussion 3
Because PC games are made for the PC, they are much easier to mod.
Other programs can read the game's files, and edit them.
Hence what I am doing with BF 1942. I am using three or more programs
to mod it, but mainly the RFA explorer to edit the scripting.

Re: General Discussion 3
I think although its good to mod games to appear different or do something different, i tihnk its best to keep them as they were really, less chance of an error occuring. ![]()

Re: General Discussion 3
yeah... lol... the most major thing I have done it taken the restricter plates off of the NASCAR game that I have on the computer.... It was fun to run around Daytona and Talladega at 250 mph.... lol
other than that I don't change things that majorly.... But I just had to do that one....

Re: General Discussion 3
Well, in BF 1942, you can create a separate mod for it. Kind of like
making a custom map and game in Halo 3, but being able to change
every aspect of the game, including the map objects, sky textures, and
land. You can also create new vehicles, weapons, effects and objects.
In short, you can change everything, and still be able to play the original,
non-modded game.

Re: General Discussion 3
I love modding Command & Conquer. It's very easy - you just need to extract certain text files and edit them. Of course, you have to make new images if you want any, and I suck at that.

You actually age faster in the presence of gravity...

Do you have to open up RFA files? Or does the game use different file types?

Sorry I haven't been on since I posted that... lol
But it's rather interesting... I think it has something to do with time being the 4th demention... Gravity pulls time towards the object and I guess that time is "thicker" around the object.... I'm not sure about that but that's my theory... Here's a link a site that explains a little bit better than me: http://www.perimeterinstitute.ca/Outrea … low_Time?/
I thought that, that was rather interesting myself

You extract the files you need from a .mix file (don't ask what MIX stands for) using a program like XCC Mixer.

Re: General Discussion 3
Looking at that article Im doubting the theories. Yes gravity affects the way you age but time itself??? Maybe but looking at the theory there are 2 problems. 1) "These excited atoms have more energy, and hence more mass." This statement isn't necessarily true since fire is a form of energy yet fire doesn't weigh anything. 2) "Energy for nothing" This is impossible since energy cannot be created out of nothing since it comes from something.
Also it comes from a theoretical physics website and they tend to be a bit on the optimistic side of physics (like when the Large Hadron Collider was going to be turned on, theorists were saying that it would create a blackhole (which is possible) and swallow the Earth(not possible))

I agree with you when you say that it is possible the Hadron Collider could make a microscopic black hole, and that it can't swallow Earth.
Though fire is made out of something:
Oxygen.
When some form of fuel and oxygen come together and ignite with enough free moving electrons, then the oxygen and fuel burns and turns into carbon (releasing energy in the form of light and heat).
So fire is the transforming point between oxygen and carbon.
But the thing is. Gases can't be weighed, because depending on the temperature, gases can rise or float, so even though it can't be weighed, it is still something.
Correct me if I'm wrong, I just woke up and I am tired...

Re: General Discussion 3
In one way, fire is like humans.
Humans eat food [preferably meat : )]
Fire eats oxygen [In a way ...]

Mainly balance and adding new superweapons. I also changed the stupid AI around a bit to make it smarter.
