So if we are going to go Fully Epic Spyro...

Hows this sound for the next game?

They have an epic war where you are fighting continiously along side of other good and bad dragons and the number of dragons drops with everyone killed and the end is like just a giant battle. (Like I portrayed in Spyro's Legacy... (see signature URL)) This would be the best gane possable for this style.. (Play it like Star Wars Battle front without guns ect.... lol) At least I think.

I'm saying that this is what I would like to see if they continue in this direction. (which they will) I won't explain mt position on that as to stop argument... but I like both (old and new)

I think that if you could find a way to do it like that then it would be really cool... unfourtunatly I don't think it to be possable to make a set story line as thay have.

What do you guys think?

Re: So if we are going to go Fully Epic Spyro...

I'd love to be able to control Spyro/Cynder/whoever like the dragons in LAIR. Doing midair battles, special moves, but without the need for platforming and the ability to actually go where you want, not where you should be. Bring on the Sixaxis Dualshock... *drool*

Sorry, I start to foam a little at the mouth when I think of these kind of things.

DO keep in mind that i don't think spyro is going to have FULL ON WAR AND GORE GEARS OF WAR STYLE

Re: So if we are going to go Fully Epic Spyro...

Are you suggesting turning the Spyro games into full throttle button hammering madness?

Umm... That's like saying SSBB is a button masher game... Button mashers are for people who don't know how to play correctly, and although easy, will only get you up to a certain level by luck.

I think a "Fully Epic Spyro Game" should be like a conquest. Free flight, being able to go wherever you want in the dragon worlds, collecting things, choosing what character you want to be etc..

I think he was talking more about games that, while they try to create the illusion that you have to actually do something to win, you're better off mashing buttons. Which is what the battle systems (outside of some bosses) for all LoS games pretty much were.

A good example of this is Kingdom Hearts 2. With their new "reaction" buttons, all you had to do was pretty much mash X or triangle (if I'm remembering right) continuously and you would win every time.
