Just as a quick note:
I haven't agreed with all that yet. The level design is still not final, and may/will change later, therefor the number of levels will not be final until more is decided. Due to the performance of the programs I use, the game will not be able to render/run a large level at a decent speed, therefor I do not want to keep them very large, but smaller to medium and many. Right now the main focus is the story. There are plenty of things I and Mysterious Cynder haven't agreed on yet, but hopefully we will soon.
And about Frothy, that is not very likely that she will be used in a help mode, as I doubt that a help mode will be included (easy, medium and hard is probably a must). The game-play is not fully in-depth yet, therefor I can't tell much about how everything will be tied together.
And I think it's time to tell what's going on with the game:
Currently, I'm putting less time into it. I'm waiting for MC to get the story done (At least half done) before I try to do anything big. And due to the problems with the collision system, I'll likely have to redo the entire thing... The good thing is that I can copy-paste a huge part of the engine, so hopefully, it'll work this time.
However, any help which involves models and textures is greatly appreciated, as I can't do everything myself (That's just not possible!).

If you are having some trouble you can always go over to the game development section. This topic really should be located their anyways but I'm sure that you will find a lot of members who are experienced or are currently practicing the talent of developing games.

Possibly, but my guess is that they don't program in the same language as I do. Besides, I have two-three other communities where I can ask for help ![]()
I've done some testing, and it appears that the collisions was off due to me using a positive number instead of a negative one. Still, there's some more things to clear out, but I'll get that done soon.

I have an idea for the design of the Spirit World...or any other world, whatever you want x3
It could be like...a snowy sort of canyon place. Kind of like Dante's Freezer, but like a frozen forest. With crystals.
And for the models of the dragons, if you already dont have this option, you could make them with a whole bunch of elements.

No, you don't sound bossy. If you have some information you'd like to share for characters and/or places I'd love for you to pm them to me. I was also thinking about the Frothy thing to Hepolite and I was thinking that she could be available for helping on easy mode maybe. Now that you have pointed out easy, medium, and hard maybe it will become a whole lot easier with Frothy.

Yes, I've been very busy with a lot of different stuff. I had to prioritize stuff, so I haven't been able to work very much of the game lately. However, I've been working on the model (Gah, took about a week) and I'm finally sort of pleased with the result. I think it's ready now to be animated, and that will take some time, but not as much as making it.
MC, I've actually been waiting for you. You really need to get that story sent to me so things can move on.

No, I haven't lost it. But I'll change the environment to something else. I'll PM you about this later.
I have some good news:
The problem with collision has finally been fixed, the animation system is sort of planned and some animations has been done. There's still a lot more to do, but it's on a good way to get done.
Right now I'm working on the first level, and unfortunately, it takes a long time. But hopefully the results will be great, I'm working towards something like a mix between Tall Plains and Valley of Avalar.
So far it looks acceptable, but I will make it better.

What do you mean you'll change the enviorment? I thought you like Sunny Gardens set up. What are you going to do about the hill, the garden, the big shady tree, the pond? It's really imporant!

I doubt that the garden can be included for practical reasons. I honestly don't know how to make one, especially in an effective way... I will include a big tree and a pond, but I may replace the hill with something else. I'm thinking of a huge valley, because that's the easiest way to prevent the player from running wild and glitching out everywhere. I'll PM you more details if you want. I never said I didn't like your setup, I just want to change it for practical, as well as performance reasons.

Has any concept art been done for this project? Try shuffling around ideas abit with concept art and designs before you get too ahead of yourselves. Then again, this game can just be a crash course for experience with this type of career.
I have one project of my own but it's still in the planning phase and it's hard to make it clear for what I'm intending. I can't really blame anybody to look at the notes since they are very long and somewhat disorienting and I been occupied by other things recently. But that's enough about my endeavors. I just thought I lend some advice.

But I feel I have the idea of how everything will look like when everything's done, though. Thanks for your advice.

I tried to make a Spyro game around a year again using gamemaker. It fell apart due to the fact i sucked at gamemaker. I am more experienced now and i am working on a Crash bandicoot game. I can continue on the Spyro game after I get somewhere with the crash game! ![]()

Good luck with your Crash game!
I have some updates about my game:
I now managed to fix some minor glitches and a major one with the camera and other various things. Right now I'm designing a cave, and so far it goes very well. The results won't be the best, but I hope to make it good nonetheless. I can tell right away that the game won't be out anytime soon. I'll put up an ETA of June for a playable game/demo. No promises, thought. I'll do my best. And is there anyone here who can make music? Apparently the other music composer seemed to stopped responding to my mails.

At least you wouldn't have to worry about your post falling to far down the list then. Not that you really care I'm sure. So long as you have connections with those you're developing it with it shouldn't really matter.
