Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

After ive played DotD i think ANB was okay.

Playing TEN with wii made it really fun for me sometimes.

About the cliche's:

Tells enough for me when i stopped playing DotD because of a cliche. "[insert something here]'s are truly amazing beings" is a very very used comment. Im very very disappointed. I know, all games have cliches and i usually notice them and try to think what would have been done better, but this was enough. The other cliches in the start were more "minor" ones. But after THAT line, i anticipated the retardness what i was going to meet later in the game. Guess what i did after i stopped playing DotD? I went back to completing TEN.

(This ALL is my HUMBLE OPINION.)

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

Well, it was an interesting twist upon the Spyro series. To me, Spyro had no definite storyline. So TLoS is what concentrates at that. It may be appealing to kids of the times, but not so much as to old fans of the original Spyro.

To me, it's an interesting take of Spyro's kiddiness theme, and throwing in a darker, more mature theme. Somewhat like Spyro and Batman.

So the story is what's a real strong point of the series, and so is the unique music. But the repetitive gameplay is what really brings down my opinion of it. If you're seeking serious combat, get God of War instead.

Yeah I agree with that. I really don't care about cliches and whatever....so long as it has somewhat of a decent storyline....and I'm pretty sure they were trying to throw an epic storyline into this to help make up for certain elements and to do a complete 180 of the original series. The gameplay could have been much much better....but perhaps they will learn from it and better themselves out of the experience.

We can only hope...

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

My least favourite was Eternal Night because:

1. Spyro's Earth Element was great in the ANB. It turned into some kinda Ball in TEN
2. I hated Sparx's voice
3. Putting pirates in the film was such a bad idea

Although, I Still Love The Game. Oh and I really hated Scabb. XD
When Spyro got to the mountain of malefor, It was alot better.

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

I'd say I dislike them all the same......TEN was the only real nuisance to me because of some spots being rather annoying in completing.

I only liked the parts in TEN where he got to the Mountain of Malefor and finding Cynder.
Although TEN Is still a great game.

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

After some serious thinking i realized that The Legend of Spyro could have been an awesome trilogy. Shame that the no-good game developers ruined it...

They were alot better than I expected at first. I am a big fan of all TLOS games. TEN could have been alot better, I won't deny that.

How would you imagine them at first though?
I think they fitted perfect with TLOS!

The games. I can't imagine something better than what they've done with TLOS already.

Like Jackson said, you have to be thinking much larger then what you see in just these games. The gameplay in general could have been improved ten fold and even the story could have been better. Along with character designs and overall voice acting things could have been much more improved had more effort and attention been thrown in. That and having a workable timetable in which they had plenty of chances to go over these details.

So what are you going to say about 58 metascore for DotD?

The only one I've played is ANB, and its was ok, but it wasn't good enough to make me want to go out and get TEN and DOTD.

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

In my opinion, a game that does its job as a fun little time-waster (sans the fun) doesn't necessarily make it a "good" game. Someone can show you a painting of a white stick figure against a black background and you can stare at it for a while and wonder why the artist even did that, thus the painting caught your attention, but it's still pretty much a crappy painting.

Re: Your opinion on the TLOS games

Yes but that's not always the same for everyone. Some people are certainly easier entertained then others are. I for one can be easily entertained by something even if it's not the best overall quality...that and I've seen just what the worse of the worse can be...so I always cut my losses and enjoy what I have at the moment. That's just me of course.

I do love the Legend of Spyro games, just as much as the classics. But not better or less, because they are different and still Spyro.
