Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

Yeah sorry not feeling that one lol...nice try though tongue....all I can go with is the information in the games and filling in the plot holes with something that might make sense to a degree....

Well unless you know something about graphic design and computer programing then I don't think you will be much of a reference lol....but that's just me.

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

I just have trouble getting the perspective right sometimes and can't even draw straight on paper. That makes it harder to share your vision when you can't have a quick way to put it into a visual form and forced to rely on writing more than ever. Do you know how many details you have to describe just to get one picture the way you want everyone else to see it? It's like The Scarlet Letter where you have to know some history back in the 1800's when America was still young and people still had superstitions for unexplained events occurring in that time then how they are seen today. Speaking of which, that's how the things in TLoS and the previous series are viewed to a degree.

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

Err... no and yes.
I have trouble getting the desired 3D perspective in 2D display (Paper, computer graphics, etc.) but I might have an easier time of just making the scene in 3D virtual space (modeling, lighting, posing, etc.) and then place the camera where I want it. That way the computer can help make it more precise and accurate in the final scene when I have all the essentials set up. I know how to draw but I can't seem to make a descent image without having something looking award or inaccurate like the lighting, lines, or shape. I'm that critical about detail.

If you look at my avatar (Which I changed so this is no longer valid.), you see what I mean... if I can't draw it myself then I'll just use a temporary sample (for the Spyro: Syndi Horizon project I'm slowly working on when I get some privacy.) and get the visual reputation of what I have in mind that way.  You notice that the dragon doesn't have a crown and has a odd tail tip. I also plan to have a small demonstration of the combat I have planned(again, S:SH visual draft material...) by using pivot, which is a 2D stick figure animator.

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

Not much, I have been busy with other things like game walkthroughs (When I start something I tend to finish it.) so I rarely get the time to work on it. So the meantime I tend to work on that more and sometimes do research and type more of the story script, which is a mess by the way, among the other usual things like chores, homework, hanging with the family...

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

I have no real artistic skill to think off....the only good thing I have is my writing. I can describe something beautifully and in perspective...but I would leave the rest up to others.

Wouldn't mind writing a script for something...but I have enough trouble just focusing on my own stories.....trying to develop a whole project would just be more of a distraction.

Present your own ideas about exploring deeper into Spyro's universe. Don't simply agree with what has been said about ten times over and say something random lol...

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

Ho Hum...what else...the force field in Stony Hills...and the flight courses...that's something...oh, sorry. I was thinking about that thing you mention earlier about the flight courses, Ratchet. (I forgot where you posted it though...)

You said that the flight levels have some sort of magic to help inexperienced dragons fly in that area. I wonder if there is a field setup around the designated area. Since it's always over water then the objects providing this source of magic. (I see the term magic as some kind of particles in the air...but only generated by certain objects or creatures. Summoning to much of it than your body can handle might drain you and possibly kill you...like in Eragon.)

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

Well I don't think they are drawing energy from the environment by their own will......therefore not really endangering them. It must automatically be filtered into their bodies when they enter the course.

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

It sounds like some sort of radiation to me that like reddragon said they draw energy from, so they can survive with it like cockcroches can with nuclear blasts, it migth be another reason for how dragons are like, for example them having wings as they could of been lizards early on when they were evolving, so when they touched it they mutated and grew wings and mabye the same with the ability to breath fire to. Its just a thought really.

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

Well I don't think they are drawing this power from everyday life in general...only when they are in this flying learning course....for which they need some kind of energy to help them learn how to fly without killing themselves lol.....I don't think they need it to manage with everyday events though.

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

Yeah that's the basic idea...they draw the power from sources such as the supercharge spot or the flying environment around them to serve their needs at the time.

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

I'm not sure about the whirlwinds....because yes in some situations they are created by the fairies....but in others they just appear through pure magic or something....so it's a good question.

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

Well the only time i saw the fairies creating the whirlwind was in Spyro 1, in the lofty castle level, it must of been pure magic i guess for the rest of them, like when you smash the dark gems in AHT at one point and then a whirlwind appears after the rocks come down, so im asumming thats magic really.

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

Most likely....but I don't think they were responsible in the first game...only when they got together in groups of three. Like in Lofty Castle. Other then that it is just something that kinda randomly happens in the situations that you need it most....right after you acomplish something usually.

Re: Exploring deeper into Spyro

As will be explained in my timeline. There were 2 species of dragons , elamental dragons and the normal dragons, hoerver the planet braking apart left the worlds split apart the forgotten worlds and thiers. and Avalar split off and became a moon of the dragon realms. Ripto world was suposedly part of the Eco-continent and it broke off half of it sank while it was left in between a portal network that crashed thanks to riptos original world being there,so the portal network however was given a kick stark thanks to the dark gems being there in Spyro:Orange and it started again this allowed ripto and cortex to traverse worlds. Spyros planet is big so theres got to be alot of places that spyro has'nt explored.
