So three years?

In the start of DotD they are left the same way they ended in the 2nd game. My questions are this. How do you grown while frozen? They were almost like frozen in time. My other question is, if they don't know its been three years why doesn't it shock them that they are bigger then before? Thanks for reading.

Re: So three years?

The game lacked in many ways, also in background information. Simply the creators didnt care about little facts like that. I remember the times when games used to be good.

Edit: Shouldnt you put this in the DotD section?

Exaculy, The Answer is "It's A Universe full of magic so it doesn't need any thought" which I think is pretty dull seeing TLOS relies on Story.

Re: So three years?

I would have to agree with the comments already posted. The developers didn't seem fit to care enough about the total quality of the storyline and just left one big magic statement that would take care of all those little problems. Really is a shame because they could have made things so much better had they chosen to exert a little more effort.

Re: So three years?

If you really want to go that in depth about it then have fun lol...I just enjoy the game for what it is...all those little canocal mishaps really have not bothered me so much...I just went with this theory.

If you look closely at the size scales between...for example....Spyro and Ignitus from DotD....then look at the scale between the two in the first two games of the series. I don't know about you....but they pretty much looked exactly the same in a size comparison.....so I can make the argument that they actually didn't grow in any way. EL just created a new design for them that appeared older.

That's just one of the things that I have noticed...

That is something that they might of done. If anything, this would make the most sense in a way.

Overall there is a lot of questions I have about this game but nothing I ask in a way to make this game seem little. I really enjoyed this game infact. I am just one of those people who are really into story and would like to know things I guess lol. Little things sometimes catch my eye when I watch things unfold. By the way, thanks for all the answers! ^^

Re: So three years?

No problem at all man...all of these questions will nag us forever lol...I just look for semi logical ways for them to make sense lol...but yeah I still enjoy the game regardless.

Re: So three years?

not to mention Hunter was standing right there in Ten at the end.

So im just guessing but why did hunter wait three years to do a single thing.

Ether that or it takes hunter three years to get there

Re: So three years?

Well I think that it simply took three years to find them...and that shot that showed Hunter at the end of TEN was prolly right before the beginning of DotD....but again that wouldn't make sense...becaues at the beginning of the game..they have been clearly chisled out of the moutain itself and place on the alter...while the still shot showed them still surrounded by the collapsed mountain....so good question...perhaps they wanted to give them three years of growth or something...so that they would be better off against Malefor..

Even if they didn't grow, there is no denying they have changed. Just look at thie model compared to ANB and TEN!

Re: So three years?

Um...are you sure you can read things correctly lol...I did say that the models have been changed genius. The models were changed..but as I pointed out...now listen closely...it appears that technically they didn't age...their apperances have just been altered.

I wasn't denying anywhere that they didn't change...so again I have no idea where you pulled that from. They have changed drastically...I was just pointing out something I noticed while I was playing. Thank you for listening.

Yes, but obviously they've changed, meaning they must of Aged while in the crystal, which makes your theory invalid.

I am anticipating that you like tlos: Excuse me? The whole tlos series has a very dull and predictable story, and the failed attempts of making it feel "epic" can be seen throughout the game. I only got a slightly rewarding feeling when i killed massive groups of enemies with my combos. No one can like tlos because of its story, or they are completely brain dead i say, imho.

Come now, was that comment really necessary? I'm glad you have your own opinions on it, but please don't go and act like its what everyone must think. Also please don't judge if they do like the story. What special right do you or anyone else have to judge another? I never said the story was great but, to me, the story was alright. It was enough to let me continue playing and watch what unfolds; It grabbed my attention. Yes, the story does have a lot of holes but sometimes you need to look past some of them to at least see what they were trying to make of it. Nothing is ever perfect, friend.

I made this topic to find answers on little things that might of been answered somewhere else in which I haven't seen. I never intended this to start fights about what they did with the game models or start name calling for enjoying a simple storyline.

They have changed in design genius...and they did switch developers...so for all you know they very well could be the same age as before but in a different design..so my theory is not all invalid..It was just something small I happened to notice and I just found it very strange that in size comparision to other dragons things didn't change..try having an open mind for once.

OH C'MON! Your saying they are supposed to look exaculy the same? Sierra was PROMOTING that they had grown up, and they were MEANT to have looked like they had aged. That explained why they could fly and everything. Don't tell me that it's just a model change that came with the developer change!

Oh and T3h0v4llu, As Much as I agree with you, you're kinda off topic. If you do want to say how Crap TLOS's Story is and the people who support it, go to the "Insomniac VS Sierra" thread!

Re: So three years?

I wasn't trying to push the idea on anyone...and I'm pretty sure that yes they were suppose to be three years older...because yes as you said Sierra did push that idea....I was simply offering an obvservation that I happened to notice...and that was basically the character structure now compared to then...and to me it doesn't look like it changed that much...prolly just the developers being lazy or what...but I was just offering a simple observation and a theory...so take note of it like everyone else and move on. No matter what someone manages to get off topic lol..

Re: So three years?

Actually, I'm going to have to agree with RedDragon. They probably just wanted to re-design them to look older and the viewer should pretend they were that age the entire time, just like we should pretend that Cynder's jewelry was there the whole time as well. At least this is the theory that seems to make the most sense rather than to try and push a nonsensical "aging while frozen" explanation.

If that's not it though, it doesn't matter to me. I'll just ignore whatever Wilson claims and pretend that's exactly what happened, as I don't buy the other things he mentioned.

Re: So three years?

Well I think that is the first time you have ever agreed with me lol...but yeah that's pretty much how I felt about it...just the whole aging thing while frozen didn't pass over on me...more like more excuses just to make a reason to do such things as..."make them older.."...or even adding things like Cynder's jewels...just more of a cover up so that they wouldn't have to go real in depth about it....a real shame about the game...things could have been so much better.....but yeah doesn't matter now..

Re: So three years?

Regardless, they changed, and if there's no explanation, It's a plothole. And it is obvious too that Sierra were trying to say that they did age in the Crystal. That is maybe why they did it in the first place, to make them in the next game older. But they Fail.

Re: So three years?

Yup. I really do hope it was a simple model change instead of them aging within the crystal, because if that is how they plan to make their future games (With many plotholes) I'm scared for Spyro's future.

Re: So three years?

Well it shows just how much thought they did put into the overall image of the game...which was too low for my taste...way to waste something that could have been better....but what are you gonna do. Plenty of stupid little things have been noticed by now to pretty much tell that the game was rather rushed and thrown out into circulation....and even then the Marketing sucks so bad you still can't even get a copy of the dang thing at Best Buy or Wal-Mart....you know they really don't give a *bleep* when you don't see anything promoting it....heck the Crash game got better publicity..
