or merge the to together as many people say on these forums (plz dont start an arguement about y that shouldnt happen ive seen so many of em it gets annoying) it wouldnt really b getting on spyros nerves it would of be sort of like revenge tactics

Worlds, realms, magic, allies, enemies, conflict, plot, functions, etc. don't make much sense that it leads to this reboot. The rules are bend so far that some things get twisted up with others. It means that it's hard to follow on who, what, how, where, this, that, etc. is happening in their terms without a good explanation to sort it all out. I think the rules need to be reexplained more clearly to understand what is going on in the Spyro universe/series.

Life is like that and sometimes you just need to know what is going on or you'll just end up losing yourself.

not really i could understand what was going on in all the spyro games apart from ETD as that was a bit weird wiv the dragonflies as it wasnt made clear whn u beat ripto

I'd personally with the series would go back to it's roots, ignore everything that happend after the original trillogy and start of new from there... maybe with a slightly older juvenile spyro (but based on his original look) and SOME inovations from the others like free flight (but HELL keep the combat system away) and make him a symphatic hero again, not forced by prophecy or greedy blockhead

same cause then it would stop the arguements about which is best old or new spyroif it came out......... 4 a while anyway but like daniel kay said it would b good to start wiv an older spyro but based on the original spyro design sarting from spyro 3 which i think would make quite successful coupled wiv the cbt system and also the free flight as kay said again it would b good to c if it would b good or not

I think botching all the games after Spyro 3, as much as i used to think was a good idea, is a bit mean to all the others. But yeah, if they just continued in the WAY they were going in Spyro 3, that would be awesome!
As for free flight, i don't think so. Free flight will kind of wreck the platforming and having it like DOTD is just annoying anyway. I think a good idea would to have a free flight unlimited powerup that you get after 120%.now That would be AWESOME!

I'm sure they will have some way of having things from previous Spyro games appear in the new Spyro series after DOTD. Afterall, Hunter did appear.

I think Unlimited Superfly powerups for that level would be good enough, i mean the originals weren't that kind of game where you have to go into detail, it just says "it's very simple magic and the magic only exists in that level"
But yeah, having one or two free flight levels might be nice to start off with (but a few have already been done before anyway such as gnasty's loot & Super bonus world, but they were pretty small anyway i guess), but i would go with an unlimited superfly powerup you can get at the end of the game.

Well, since I was going for a larger environment like a valley or something then why not do something like that? There will be limitations as always like harsh winds below and better conditions up top. You have to get to by foot then fly to a cave on one side of the valley.

I have already considered that but you need to buy it from Moneybags at the after beating the final boss of the game along with other game modifiers. It's going to be expensive as always so save up those gems.

This is a solution I came up with for unlimited gem gathering and collecting the fixed number of gems to complete a level.

If you are going to have a free flight level, you might as well make it that the player can have free flight with absoluely no limitations. i still think that free flight since the start is a bad idea because they will have to put many limitations on it

Seeing moneybags usually gives you back your gems right after the final boss battle, and you are going to have to get alot of gems anyway, it might as well just be a 120% unlimited powerup like in Spyro 2 with superflame. You may also have the option, after that, to start a new game with unlimuted superfly already.

A giant version of Moneybags who shoots gems at you with a bazooka. He then runs around, collecting them all while screaming "MY BABIES!" Everytime you collect a gem before he does, it reduces his life.

The new Spyro, like EVERYTHING else, is mostly about mindless killing. I like games that require more skill than just button mashing. I like games that are about exploring or collecting, or THINKING.
