Re: DDR?
I just got it yesterday! I also got a pad, it is just a plain one, no foam at all, no anti skid, but it IS a pad. I'll get a better one once I get good.
I have SN2, and right now I'm on beginner. ^^;
But I REALLY want EX2, SN, EX, and then DDR:X ^^
And I hope I can find some of the older ones......because this game is AWESOME!
But unfortunately, I've had my TV for like.......9 years......and the laces where you plug in the PS2 are kinda screwed up, so when I jump, it jostles them and I lose the music. D: But hopefully, we'll find a new TV at like Goodwill or something. We got one there for six bucks, built in DVD, VCR, and it has the video/audio plug in things. ^^ but it's in our living room.

Re: DDR?
I had an old TV when I first got DDR too. To turn it on you had to pound the top really hard. XD We ended up throwing it out, and we used a really small TV for a while. That was annoying.

If that's the arcade machine, Enjoy it!
Well I got that a long time ago. (This thread is really old) : P It's not the arcade machine, it's just a PS2 game. I wish I had an arcade machine though. I wouldn't have to worry about the pads breaking.

Re: DDR?
Oh yeah. They have some weird mode like that in every game. I just prefer the game mode to be honest.

Re: DDR?
English Pop is annoying too. Techno is okay, but I like some of the songs like Paranoia and Max300.

Re: DDR?
If you're really into DDR, mod your PS2 and then go get yourself the Japanese DDR games. Alternatively, get a USB for your pad to connect to the computer and use Stepmania to dance.

Re: DDR?
that's true, bu there's no room by the computer for a pad.
Same. And it would be a pain hauling a 20 pound metal DDR pad up and down the stairs whenever I want to switch between the computer and PS2...

[sub]Ah, I just did that song not too long ago. I know what you mean; the arrows almost seem to be placed at random. They just go to the music, though. [/sub]

Re: DDR?
Yeah, they do weird things to the steps in that mode. Me and Stormy liked to cheat; I'd take two arrows and she'd take the other two. XD

Re: DDR?
Hahaha, I've done that with my friend before with a really hard song in Stepmania, (Since it's user-made, sometimes people aren't aware of how hard they make it.) we were too busy laughing to actually concentrate on finishing it but we got farther than we ever did normally. (I took the up and left arrow and he took the right and down one.)

Re: DDR?
It works pretty well when there is a confusing pattern. On the "Hyper Master Mode" or whatever it's called, they mess up the steps. ie: make some arrows accelerate faster than others, and stuff like that. We got through almost every single hard one like that. XD
