DDR?
Who here plays DDR. (Dance Dance Revolution)
I play a lot. I would play a lot more though if we had a decent pad. Me and Blueflame are shooting for a metal one. (like thats going to happen. -_-)
Edit 2008: Now We have a metal pad. Yay. =P
Advise for pad buying: If you know you are going to play a lot, don't get a cheap flat pad, or foam inside. We have a 100$ Red Octane pad with foam 1 inch foam inside, and it broke after 3 weeks of heavy playing. If youcan, get a metal pad. Those will last a whole lot longer. ![]()
One more thing. Post your level.
If you have Konamix DDR (like me): Basic, Trick, or Maniac (I'm on Maniac. I don't have new DDR games. No PS2.
)
New DDR or Arcade: Light, Standard, Medium, Heavy. (I think thats right. I've played in the arcade a few times...)
If you don't play, you should.
Edit 2008: I sure was odd back in 2006. XD

I'm massively in love with my DDR! It's my cookie lips! Oh yes it is! I play that game nearly every day for up to 6 hours nonstop.
My favorite songs are...

In the Navy
etc.
By the way, I'm an insane psychotic newbie. Nice to meet ye'all.
Here, let me drive you to insanity. I don't have my drivers licence yet...but that's the whole point isn't it!?!?!?!?

Re: DDR?
Yeah it's really fun. When you're learning it's kind of slow because you have to do all the slow songs with about 1 beat every measure... But once you get passed that it is almost as fun as Spyro. (sometimes funner) ![]()

You mean one arrow every measure.... One beat per measure is not possible.
Anyway, I love DDR. My favorite songs are:
Konamix (Maniac Difficulty)
~Orion .78 (I have only passed it about 5 times)
~Burnin' the Floor (really easy since I have done it so many times.... I could probably do it with my eyes closed)
~Drop Out (even though it's nearly impossible with our broken DDR pad)
~Dive
~Love to Me
Arcade game (Heavy Difficulty, I forgot the name of the arcade game XD)
~Butterfly (WAAAAY too easy, I just like it because it was the first song I ever played on DDR)
I haven't played it for a very long time so I can't remember any other ones I liked.... We need to go "bowling" sometime, DDR.

Flash Flash Revolution? What's that?
If you have a PSX or PS2 or Xbox you can play it at home, but you'll have to buy a pad unless you want to use the controller. XD
DDR is in some arcades, but most of them I've seen just have "fake DDR" as DDR_Maniac and I call it (a DDR type game where the buttons are in the corners of the pad).

Re: DDR?
Ž · I have never finished the task of getting an S rating on Orion.78 Civilization Mix in Maniac Mode (almost impossible, but that's my last objective for DDR). I play on Dance Dance Revolution 4th Mix, for the PS1. It's quite old, so you really have to find carefully if you want it. There are others I can't remember, but here are a list of some songs I play frequently:
Orion.78: AMEuro Mix
Orion.78: Civilization Mix
Synchronized Love: Red Monster Hyper Mix
I don't have time so I can't post the ones I remember. gotta type fast so pelase bear wityh any typographicsl aarrors that I commit. I'm terricly sorry.

Re: DDR?
Orion .78 is the hardest song on Konamix. I have passed it a lot, but now it would be impossible with our stupid pad. RedOctane said it was the most durable...
We really need a metal one. I don't have enough money to go play at the arcade all the time. And to do that we have to go to the bowling alley, that is too far to walk from our house. :s

Re: DDR?
Ž · Hm. The hardest? Then I gotta wonder how harder DDR4th Mix is
, wherein the Orion.78 Civilization Mix is a lot faster than Trip Machine. You heard it, a lot faster than Trip Machine. Even faster than Paranoia, and it's mixes. Orion.78 Civilization Mix has been put in DDR Max, which contains only the most hardcore songs ever put in DDR. Orion.78 AMEuro Mix was one of the first songs to be slow but extremely hard. (320 Max Combo) Orion.78 Civilization Mix is still the fastest paced song as of now (397 Max Combo).
There's also a lot in the evolution of DDR. Starting from 2nd Mix, a song called Brilliant 2 U has started, and has been evolving ever since DDR started. In DDR3rd Mix, Brilliant 2 U had a remix. In DDR4th Mix, it has evolved into becoming B4U.
DDR4th Mix contained a lot of remixes from the old generation songs, namely Dam Dariram, which had it's KCP Mix at DDR4th Mix, and was originally a slow paced song in DDR3rd Mix, and Have You Never Been Mellow from DDR (1st game) also had a remix in DDR4th Mix, which was also originally a slow paced song.
In the evolution of DDR, there has been major modifications and now there are special features to entirely change the way a song goes. I think it started with Stepmania, the PC version of DDR.
Wait, did I post that long?

Our DDR game (Konamix) has both Brilliant 2 U and B4U. They don't sound anything alike at all.

Re: DDR?
Ž · Well Naoki did had the wrong idea of making a new generation of B2U. I still remember that they don't sound close to each other, but that's how B2U evolved.

Flash flash revolution is a dance dance revolution game, but was made in flash.
It has so much songs, in many genre.
It has multiplayer support, so I can play with my friends over the internet.
But it is very hard.
Here is it:

Re: DDR?
Ž · I didn't read that long post so sorry if I'm not replying to it  , but that's the logo of Orion.78 AMEuro Mix, Maniac. If that's the hardest in Konamix, then I must wonder how easy the other songs are... because Orion.78 AMEuro Mix is a song I already mastered...

Re: DDR?
Zekira, do you mean this Orion .78?
http://www.ddrfreak.com/stepcharts/step … mit=Submit
WTF, the img tags aren't working... T_T Here's a link
When you say you've "mastered it," do you mean you can pass it or pass it with a good rating? If you mean you can pass it, I have "mastered" Orion .78 a long time ago.

Re: DDR?
Ž · When I say I've mastered it... It just means that I cold get the max combo easily... In this case... I almost always get that 320... because I've been practicing it for about 6 months now...
Oh and some of the stepcharts of my favorite songs to touch...
Furuhata's Theme (Maniac): http://www.ddrfreak.com/stepcharts/step … mit=Submit
Just imagine that... 170 BPM with 412 combo at stake >_> so hard... I've only gotten 367 combo!
Kick the Can (Maniac): http://www.ddrfreak.com/stepcharts/step … mit=Submit
Before I even started with the hard songs, I've went through difficulties like this. And it's really easy since you'll have fun with the song...
Saint Goes Marching (Remix) (Maniac): http://www.ddrfreak.com/stepcharts/step … mit=Submit
This has a part with 110 BPM. If you don't know how to read it yet, it's the yellow sidebar with the 110 BPM... THe hardest part in this song is probably the continous horse hop steps...
My Summer Love (Maniac): http://www.ddrfreak.com/stepcharts/step … mit=Submit
I just wanted to try this out about 3 months ago... for such a slow song with 9 difficulty, but now I understand why it was 9 difficulty. Just look...
.59 (Maniac): http://www.ddrfreak.com/stepcharts/step … mit=Submit
A locked song in the machines, but easily unlockable in the PSX version. I don't know how the heck I go into this song, but I really liked it.
era (nostal mix) (Maniac): http://www.ddrfreak.com/stepcharts/step … mit=Submit
then again, there's another 90 BPM flow there, but it's a really fast song... it's 180 BPM >_> with... 356 combo.
Leading Cyber (Maniac): http://www.ddrfreak.com/stepcharts/step … mit=Submit
At first glance of this chart, it seems like an easy song. When you play it, it just seems impossible to get a max combo out of T_T
OK wait where the heck are the PSX exclusive unlockable DDR4 Songs?!
Xanadu (Maniac2 in DDR4 Plus, Maniac in DDR4 Asian version): http://www.ddrfreak.com/stepcharts/step … mit=Submit
I actually liked to dominate this song since it goes all the way, and your feet can't stop because of the many very-short-interval-arrows there...
Synchronized Love (Red Monster Hyper Mix): http://www.ddrfreak.com/stepcharts/step … mit=Submit
This song gets you tired fast. And the purple/yellow arrows are so hidden that they look like blue arrows, making it from a range of Boo-Great only, which has been a common mistake for everyone..
AND HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE's THE HARDEST SONG EVER MADE IN DDR4 HISTORY!
Orion.78 (Civilization Mix) (Maniac): http://www.ddrfreak.com/stepcharts/step … mit=Submit
WTF! 398 combo with 200 BPM! It tests all of your DDR capabilities. Stamina, speed, and accuracy. Don't fall down! I've fallen down about 13 times trying to perfect this song >_>
I'll get back to all of you later...
