What?
I think I should have the right to wear what I WANT to wear and what I LIKE to wear without being called a stupid insulting name!If you wear what you "want" and dozens and dozens and dozens of other people just happen to "want" to wear the exact same style, it forms what's called a clique, and cliques and the identification thereof are essential to society, actually. But don't get upset if people label you when you look like an entire group of people whose idea of individuality all happen to be the exact same. It's just convenient.
I'm not trying to be an individual person, I'm trying to be who I am. >__> I am NOT like some of the members here that go "oh I'm so different from everyone else, blah blah blah". In the neighborhood I live in, people don't happen to be like me. I KNOW that there are tons of other people like me, though, mmkay?

Ok, but if you wear what you want, and like I said, other people share your taste enough to the point that it warrants a name for the whole group, don't be upset because people will label you with the terms you have inevitably identified yourself with.

Re: EMO, CHAVE, DORK, PUNK .........ect.
That is the biggest statement in my book of dragon missioner. When any author is looking for something to persuade he writes the statement down and try his hardest not to come out right saying the words instead use the actions of the characters to get the point across.
That is my fav of narrative writing but any whoo. I don't believe in stereotypes or as you called it labels other than making it easy for my characters in my book to be easily recognized. like the main character sara in my book who i like to call the Gothic witch but other than that i let people be who they are and take them for what ever they say they are in comparison to who they are in life.
I get stabbed in the back every now and then and things get crazy but i pray and bring it to the attention to the authority if need be and let it slide and forgive them as the lord commands and let them be a friend but most don't come back to being a friend after that.
I think the hardest thing for me to forget is what i done in the past that made me look really foolish or out of character. If you know what i mean.
Fell in love with Spyro when I was little. I played it with my friends. They went different ways over time and I refused to let this go. I am seventeen and still enjoy playing the old games as well as the new. Game makers are of their own and I have no reason to disagree because they made it perfect

Re: EMO, CHAVE, DORK, PUNK .........ect.
I'm not really labeled anything. At least nothing I know of. I'm pretty cool with my entire class ... Probably because I've helped most of them pass the class, lol ...
The only thing I can think of that I would be labeled as would be band nerd since I'm in band. I could probably be labeled as Asian since I'm half Korean.

People call me weird(I extremly hate that
!!!!)Everyones weird in their own way!
youve more or less contradicted yourself there
if everyone is wierd in their own way, then why do you hate being called wierd so much
a label is a word, and sometimes a way for someone to group you together with a whole bunch of other people they dont understand
goth - fashion style (also an ancient barbarian tribe)
emo - fashion style based around a music genre
ignore people who call you names, theyre simply making assumptions, usually based on little to no prior knowledge of your personality

Re: EMO, CHAVE, DORK, PUNK .........ect.
I have noticed that the older you get, the less in your face people get about calling you names. In Elementary School people will almost always call someone a name right to their face. Correct me if I'm wrong, but what I've noticed was once you get to High School, people mostly associate with their group, and pay less attention to other people, therefore less "name calling". If they talk about other people at all it would probably be behind their backs. (Which I'm not sure is much better) ![]()

Yeah, meaning that they are more careful about what they say, and when they say it.

Razz and I get called weird all the time. We admit it freely. Why should we regret it if we don't hide the skeleton in there closet? We don't tell endless lies to keep that thing in the closet. Let us be truthful otherwise people will be taking us for who we aren't. Soon they will find out our dirty secrets and then there is nothing we can do but to let them know how much we lied. Why should we try so hard to live a life that is not ours.
I admit that i am weird. Let me put it this way " the only people on this earth who are who they want to be are weird or as people most commonly know as geeks. We are not afraid of words. In fact the most commonly known saying is actions speak lowered than words.

Re: EMO, CHAVE, DORK, PUNK .........ect.
I've been called many names, heres the pg I tend to pop people in the face for the others. Geek, Wannabe, nerd, freak, speacial, stupid, Flagpole (I am 6ft 9in) Green Giant. You get the Idea. I was told I have a anger problem by 2 docs and many teachers. and I went insane once and it almost cost me my life (ain't depression grand) Heres a tip stick in a group and don't becaome like me, I got beaten up in middle school and freshman year of Highschool and brought a knife once too cut my self open (not at school) but bla I am getting to much into things I dont want to be in. so Play it safe and learn defence.

Though most of these "Labels" are used everyday, none of them should affect us. We shouldn't care what we are called as names cannot harm us (Unless you take them seriously).
As for me I do not care what people claim me to be whether it is Emo, Goth or Grunger, I don't care what people call me because I am what I am and you guys should be the same. Ignore name calling and just get on with life.

I agree with DanteAndVergil. Sometimes it can be hard just to shake off a name someone called you, but you should do your best to just live with it, and get on with your life. People will always judge others, and that's just how it is. Also, try not to seem like you were affected by the name they just called you. Pretend it's no big deal, and if they don't get a reaction out of you, they probably won't try it again.

Re: EMO, CHAVE, DORK, PUNK .........ect.
Those labels I put a page ago aren't hurtful to me, some people are actually impressed by my "geekness and nerdness," sure some goof around with me, but that's mainly because I'm literally the most quiet and well-behaved student in my class (and the only one that seems to focus on his/her future); here's what my councelor said when I was getting the rest of my school years planned, (side note: this year, my school had about 5-6 valvectorians) she said "There won't be this many valvectorians in this class." Some labels aren't bad, but we see them everyday, heck, I have a few friends that are labeled, but they don't treat me any different (except the occasional question on a worksheet, or if they don't remember something).

That sounds almost exactly like me. I barely ever talk during class at all, and some people just think that's odd.

I get called alot of things in school and otherwise. I take offense to it but keep it to myself. I really don't have many friends in school.
