Your Mom Jokes
Does anybody else find these unintellagable jokes stupid? (Not to mention great comebacks)
What do you guys think?
If tomorrow may never come, and yesterday is just a memory, then what is today worth?

Re: Your Mom Jokes
I was teased a lot at school :-P, so I have quite a negative view to all 'ya mum' and 'ya face' jokes, and many more. And really, the people who use them are just trying to use them as fillers while they are thinking up their next joke, I have noticed this many times.
(BTW: you spelt unintellegable incorrectly XD)

Re: Your Mom Jokes
It tends only to be funny amongst the lads. I have had a conversation on this with my brother though, they can be quite funny if they are timely, but there is such thing as an inappropriate time and the wrong place for it. There are also times when it can offend, and that just isn't funny, no matter what angle you look at it from.
There has been a time when one of my brothers 'friends' at school said 'your mum' to this Year 7 lad (he was about 11, for those of you who don't know the ages of the British school system) and he started crying, this lad thought it was funny, but it turned out that this little kids mum had died from breast cancer. It was horrible, and my brother and all his mates had a go at the lad who said it. Not because he said it, fair enough he didn't know, but he still found it funny even when the one he aimed it at obviously didn't.
That is why you have to be careful with things like this. You have to know when things are funny, and when you're just *bleep*ing people off. Even professional comedians who use jokes all the time know the limit, what annoys me is when people think they're funny but are actually being *bleep*s but don't know when to quit.

Re: Your Mom Jokes
Yes, they are immature and they annoy me. I don't feel like preaching
about it, though.
"Your mom ... is awesome."

Re: Your Mom Jokes
Some people say sarcasm is the lowest form of humour. It's got nothing on your mom jokes though.
Heh heh, I kinda want to draw some kind of Comedy-o-meter.

Re: Your Mom Jokes
I hate them but I ignore them as well if someone is just trying to annoy me, even if they mean it that cant hurt me so there just wasting there time, and if I'm just playing around I will let him know then just do that for fun.(116)

Re: Your Mom Jokes
At their best your mom jokes are decent, but the problem really lies in the fact that people just go "Your mum" here in London. This is incredibly tedious. It's died down now though to be replaced by "That's what she said!" Unoriginal, but hilarious nonetheless.

Re: Your Mom Jokes
I like saying "your Mum!" after someone says something that has nothing to do with it. Like if someone said "this place needs a table" I might say "Your Mum needs a table!"

Re: Your Mom Jokes
They were going around my school alot at the start of last year but hardly anyone says them now. They are kinda annoying, but they don't really bother me unless someone goes over the top with them, like when people say Ya mum after everything.

Re: Your Mom Jokes
Depends where u come from
. I know ppl who still use your mum jokes just for being an idiot and not for insults. Everyone is over them so they're not really insults anymore. Now the latest one is "thats what she said" and *bleep* those can be funny
eg: "Man that guys sucks"
Rely: "Thats what she said" ![]()

Re: Your Mom Jokes
Everytime I hear one I lose respect of them... unless it's in a thread like this and then I'll let it slide.
