Re: Elite Enemies -- an eternity and a half?

Try playing in co-op. I played with my friend and beat them all in less than 3 minutes. I can't really remember much, but after their mask was removed perhaps they are weaker to whatever color of the element they were glowing from before. I say this because I remember one was once green and my friend who was playing Cynder spammed the poison scorpion sting move and beat him quite quickly.

Re: Elite Enemies -- an eternity and a half?

if u notice the masks of teh elite enemies are coloured differently so u match the element wiv the colour eg yellow is electricity and tehen it comes off so easy its how ive been completeing this game so easy as the elite enemies arent that elite lol

Re: Elite Enemies -- an eternity and a half?

I only noticed that just now lol.

So apparently, Cyclone passes through their armor. But once it breaks, they'll be really defenseless -- I've seen how Poison Strike pwns them like hell. Hah!

Re: Elite Enemies -- an eternity and a half?

Yeah...after you bust the mask off it really isn't that hard to defeat them...if it's a grublin of some kind just keep using Cynder's shadow abilities to destroy them....if it is the larger orc ones then keep using Spyro's electric breath to knock the weapon from there hand and bash them while they recover it. As for the Wavyrn...just knock him out of the air with Spyro's ice attacks.

Other then that the easiest way to do it is actually with your fury breath. Just use it and you will kill any elite enemy in a matter of seconds regarless or not if they still have the mask on.

Re: Elite Enemies -- an eternity and a half?

Depends on how someone plays a game lol...yes if you figure out just what their weakness is...you can take them out in less then 5 minutes.

Re: Elite Enemies -- an eternity and a half?

I've done it both ways. I died about 10 times fighting 1 elite in the ruins before beating him in a 10 minute long fight, and then I attacked the elite flying thing in the islands level and shredded it in a matter of seconds with Spyro's ice storm.

I personally like the way they did that. You can do things the hard way and still defeat an enemy, it just takes longer. I remember a couple games where if you don't use the right attack/combo/spell, the enemy takesw 0 damage, which always annoyed me.

Re: Elite Enemies -- an eternity and a half?

You can't beat that stupid little Grublin lol....just use Cynder's shadow strike over and over again lol..you'll kill him eventually....and yeah I did like the concept over the elite enemies...they just could have explained it a little better on how to defeat them....even though it was kinda obvious...why else would they be wearing a colorful mask...just put 2 and 2 together lol...

Re: Elite Enemies -- an eternity and a half?

It's just that some of the colors weren't visible, like the first one where you almost don't notice the color of the dark armor. That was a fatal error, it would've been better if the aura was the color-coded one, not the mask.

I finally got around to mastering on how to remove their masks, and even without fury now I can defeat elites in less than a minute. Because Magic upgrade is win and spamming breaths are awesome. Yes, it's abusive, I know.

Re: Elite Enemies -- an eternity and a half?

I could see the colors, but some of them were too feint if the elite was too small.

Re: Elite Enemies -- an eternity and a half?

It probably has more to do more with the visual settings and size of his TV rather than the actual system you know...

Re: Elite Enemies -- an eternity and a half?

Only trouble I had with the colors was finding out that red was in fact fear while fire was more of an orange. and that earth wasn't green, because green was for poison....

well, I got it eventually.

Re: Elite Enemies -- an eternity and a half?

Yeah...I thought all the elements were pretty cool...if you use them wisely you could defeat just about any opponent...including the elite enemies...pretty quickly.

Re: Elite Enemies -- an eternity and a half?

Level 3 elements are imba.

I think they should really add harder difficulties -- that would be awesome, especially now that you can pick which chapter you want to play.

After they've done the difficulties, then they can go to per-chapter ranks. Hah! That's when I'll truly shine!

Re: Elite Enemies -- an eternity and a half?

Level 3's are a reward for getting that far, it means you got most of the elite's/blue gems or you grinded a bit.

Re: Elite Enemies -- an eternity and a half?

Yeah the level 3 elements are all that really mattered to me lol....the ice attacks were prolly my favorite for Spyro...and Cynder was shadow....and yes I do agree that they should have included a difficulty level in the game....one of the many things that could have been better.

I just ignored the elites. They always 1-shot me.
