The ONLY complaint I have...

[The final battle with Gnasty Gnorc was cool, it had chases, leaps (or rather, glides) of faith, lot's of treasure & everything you could ask for in a finale.
EXCEPT ONE THING.
WHY DID GNASTY GNORC ONLY HAVE TWO HITS?!?
Couldn't they have done (Even just for a final third hit) a classic dogfight like Ripto & the secret sorceress?
Here's what I, AT THE VERY LEAST (FOR TIME & GRAPHICS SAKES) WOULD HAVE ENVISIONED.
The second flame breath has been hit.
But then the rear end of the arena opens up & Gnasty conjures up one those planes that the thieves use in Gnasty's loot & he flies off.
Then a Golden fairy appears & gives you infinite super-flame(the one the red, kissing fairy gives you to destroy super-metal) & super-fly for the remainder of the level.
You fly after him &, (naturally) toast him!
A bit more climactic if you ask me...
But feel free to speculate...
P.S.
ALTERNATIVELY, this idea could be put into Gnasty's loot as with the sorceress in Spyro 3

Re: The ONLY complaint I have...

Yeah, the last boss was pretty dissapointing. Im sure your idea would be great! Unfortunately, I have never been to Gnasty's Loot, so i do not know what the plane chases are like.

No, Gnasty's Loot was fine as it is. I don't really like when you have to beat the bosses more than once anyway.

Re: The ONLY complaint I have...

Those fast-as-heck thieves should count as minibosses in their own right though. I know some people could be tedious enough with them as it is o_O

(:) Those theives were a pain in the *bleep*, but I was sad to see them go in later games.

Yeah. I used to hate those but now I miss them. It always took me so long to catch them though!

Re: The ONLY complaint I have...

i agree, the bosses in thi game were too easy and gnasty should've ha more of a dogfight ay!?
But remember, this game was only a prototype, much like how crash bandicoot 1 can be frustrating!

Re: The ONLY complaint I have...

There should have been another area where you chase Gnasy Gnorc on a supercharge track. Then, you get to that lava room after hitting him. That's right! Run, you ugly green freak!

I don't care how it looks but how it functions

I agree, especially if you've played it so many times! It's too easy.

Re: The ONLY complaint I have...

Something that makes a game so good, is when it;s unique for each player, when no one goes the same way as another (Unless the player doesn't do a thing without a pro's consent). You see, that's what makes games like Spyro and Sly so popular! wink

Re: The ONLY complaint I have...

the spyro 3 bosses weren't the hardest cookies either , but that amount if hardness is pretty good anyway. (spike was very hard for me)

Was the first Spyro 3 boss called Buzz? I've heard people talking about him being difficult but can't remember for sure...

Re: The ONLY complaint I have...

Nah, Buzz couldn't really hurt you. And he's the simplest boss ever.

I like the original Spyro bosses. Yeah, sure they're easy and small. But they are special designed enemies and they rawk.

Re: The ONLY complaint I have...

I like in Spyro 1 how the Bosses had their own levels, rather than just arenas.

Re: The ONLY complaint I have...

yeah! In spyro2 the bosses, enemies and NPC's look so rushed. Only spyro was properly made. In spyro 1 everything was made properly.

Re: The ONLY complaint I have...

Exactly. I'd much rather a Boss Fight was a level rather than an arena. And not just cuz it's easier wink I liked how you hit the boss once, then he ran away to a different area. smile Blowhard was an excellent example of this.
