can anyone convert GameShark / RAW / Codebreaker codes?

i found some codes for the Legend of Spyro (both ANB and TEN; not sure about DOTD yet) but i only have a GameShark, and none of them are compatible with it - i know NOTHING about how to convert these codes into other "formats".

i'll post them here later. but in the meantime i was just wondering if anyone even knew about this stuff?

Re: can anyone convert GameShark / RAW / Codebreaker codes?

I know this is over a year old by now, but our OP is spamming the spam forums and this forum is like a flickering bulb in an old house, so. It could use the necromancy.

Typically these codes are made up of various components, but the general gist is that they should point to a memory address, they should have the value they're overriding, etc. I read some of that info once when going on a hunt for GameShark codes for Year of the Dragon. (That's how I got here).

I think you're talking about the PS2, right? Conversion of PS2 cheat codes is possible. I've seen codes for San Andreas converted from Codebreakers to Action Replay MAX, and they did work for me. I'm guessing automated programs exist for converting codes, and if not, one could be written.

i tried one -- i can't remember the name, but it didn't seem to work.

i just realized i forgot to post the codes, lolol

they're on these 2 pages:
1) https://tcrf.net/The_Legend_of_Spyro:_A … ube,_Xbox)
2) https://tcrf.net/The_Legend_of_Spyro:_T … on_2,_Wii)

specifically, i'm MOST interested in the level select codes. smile though if anyone is particularly bored and wants to figure out the rest, i won't complain!

i live in the USA and have an NTSC console

Re: can anyone convert GameShark / RAW / Codebreaker codes?

From the page:
"Anything that supports RAW codes such as a CodeBreaker or GameShark will work. "

If GameShark supports RAW codes, then this brings to attention...something.

What is your version of the game?

One issue I always had with Year of the Dragon was that the codes were usually tailored for the Paradox version. Which is cool if you're using the Paradox version, trying to out-maneuver the copy protection, but if you're using a non-Paradox version, most of these codes just flat out don't work. Problem becomes even worse with Greatest Hits. Also, what is the code format your GameShark expects?

Open your GameShark and check one of the codes for other games. It should have some built-in codes that you can look at. Then, copy the code and say which game it belongs to and what it does. The code should look like something, e.g. XXXX XXXXXXXXXX.
