Activision Blizzard and Spyro

*third topic, and thus I leave my marks somewhere else...!*

As you witnessed from the last couple of years, we have a freakout merger on the table, the time where Activsion is Pacman, and eats... the most rare fruit in the game, Universal Studios (but later referred to as Vivendi Games). Most of you cried for the Spyro series to live on and reach the 10th anniversary of celebrating that purple-flying dragon of ours. The premise remained true as many more Spyro games will come in the future. Although there is no new Spyro game this year, fans should be eager for the dragon to arrive next year along with Activision's upcoming titles, presumably along with Crash, license access to make games based on Dreamworks' Animations (like Shrek Forever, How to Train Your Dragon, and Oobermind), Blizzard's epic franchises, and other games as part of the Activision Blizzard umbrella.

When I was thinking about the future of Spyro, I browsed around anything related to Activision in some way. And even though I already knew some of Activision's actions of being the new EA, what do you know about Activision? Why did they decided to keep the purple dragon going? Do dragons still PWN as many of the years pass by? Is Activision actually keeping an eye on us, this forum, the DarkSpyro forum, and the official Activision forums? (think about the marketing management guys)

I would like to make a few pointers of how will the future of Spyro will be revealed. First off, we have no idea what kind of studio would Activision assign to at this point. When the first you heard "studio", and "spyro" fused, you probably think "Krome Studios" right? Last year, the studio was too entirely busy with the games of Hellboy, Star Wars, and Scene It?. And there comes into the time where the changes had come to switch developers, entirely after the second game is released. It wasn't entirely the creator's fault, since his career is to recreate the Spyro series. He makes the shots I hear, so he has to adapt to the changing situations. However, Activision assigned Krome Studios to port "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" into the PS2, and the Wii. There is a tiny chance that the studios may come back to assist with Mike to create more dragon games, but it seems unlikely for right now.

Étranges Libellules? Althought they have done a wonderful job with most of the areas of making the game, the company doesn't seem to make very much games; even the Spyro party won't build some decent hype. http://elb-games.com/page/societe.php It might be possible that they can be bought by Activision themselves, but again, we'll know later on.

*inserts joke here* BLIZZARD? Are you kidding me?! That company is way too epic to create a Spyro game for Activision. And if they did, fanboys and fangirls will go over the top nuts! Their views of epic Blizzard shattered. Blizzard doesn't want that... and so does Activision. Leave Blizzard alone so Activision can continue counting money as the largest publisher in the entire world, worth $1.8 billion as a whole...!

Game engine... it's either they get Étranges Libellules or a new game engine must be implemented in. Oh wait... introducing the Infinity Ward Engine, v4.0. If you played the Call of Duty series, then you'll know this well. If you haven't, just check http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/100/1003728p2.html , the wikipedia article, and other details regarding this freaking hype of the game. Why did I picked up this? Infinity Ward is willing to give the game engine to Tryeach for another Call of Duty, hence the number 7; and possibly future Activision projects. A glimpse of Spyro and it's graphical power seeks a good advantage of using this type of technology. But... if the deal is entirely done, would the Wii catch the glimpse of these types of games?

If you are not entirely sure, try re-reading the parts of the writing I made. I've been typing this all night after a quick research. What to do with the dragon... So, that's it. What will Activision do in order to satisfy all of our stomaches into playing the very next game...? The future awaits.

Comments are welcome lads. I would like you hear your opinions and expressions. :3

Re: Activision Blizzard and Spyro

Funny, I really doubt cross-promotion wouldn't benefit Spyro greatly... remember the thoughts of Crash and Spyro partnering up together...? The hype went into lust after Digital Eclipse's attempt to create the two great games for both of the series. Can you please make a mature discussion about this? Some of us are still thinking about the purple dragon's future...
