*The fissure itself was about 5km deep, at the bottom the rocks glowed red due to being near the mantle. A large tunnel led off in an easterly direction. At the end of this was a large cavern that Geb had obviously broken into. Stalacmites grew from the ceiling and joined with stalagtites from the floor. In a corner sat Geb. His crystal was glowing white hot and tremors ran the length of his body. His eyes were wide and his pupils tiny slits.*

Geb: I did not attack you, those crystal spikes, they were a defense mechanism I use when I am under attack. Yet, I wasn't under attack, I was having flashbacks.....

Geb: It was about a thousand years ago, we were quelling an upwelling of scorpion-like creatures in an underground cavern, the one we are sitting in. They were pretty harmless, we were immune to their attacks and weapons. We were crushing them easily. Then 'he' came, he was different much bigger, with more arms and legs than any of his brethren. In a flash his tail whipped down *he was trembling violently now*, and stabbed Patalena in the back. In quick succession he stabbed Thor, Skadi, Boreas, me. It was pain as I've never felt it. Eventually only Isis and Ceres remained un-stabbed. By then my vision was blurry, due to our connection with each other we all knew that Patalena and Boreas were dead. I knew I was dying and I knew that Ceres and Isis could do nothing about it. See, 'he' had mixed his poison with a scorpion-made radioactive mineral. Combined with the Scorpions' own poison it was kiling us all with ease. I felt Thor and Skadi die, then my world went black. A while later I woke up on the surface, I was trapped in a crystal of some kind. I couldn't free myself. I later found out that it was this crystal *points to the one on his forehead* that I was trapped within, Isis and Ceres had escaped by collapsing some of the cavern and digging the tunnel you see *points to the tunnel*. For two years me and the other elders were trapped. The only way to truly end the world is to destroy all us elders, the scorpions knew this. They seeked out Isis and Ceres, who were guarding our crystals, they found them. Isis and Ceres fought but Isis surcumbed to the same fate as the rest of us. Ceres was stabbed too, but at the last moment the Dragon Guardians, then young and very powerful, burst in, they ripped off 'his' tail and sealed him in crystal using a potion. Using their knowledge and a bit of luck, they gave Ceres an antidote, which she now retains in her body. I can't remember how we got out of those crystals, but it was a harrowing experience.....

*Geb went silent and showed no signs of saying anything more. Then he suddnely said.*
Geb: Since the episode, fighting Pyrite, me and the other Elders haven't been the same. We feel weak, and since you mentioned that dream of yours last night I keep having flaskbacks about that time.... I think something bad is about to happen. I need to find the other Elders, they are probably in a similar state to me....
