Pseudo-RPG: A New World

The Dragons are out of the blast radius.

From the viewpoint, the dragons can see the wolves out of radius too and hiding in a cave.

The missile is just above the city.

Me: (speaking quickly)
"Okay guys, cover behind that hill, it will protect us from the shockwave. Once there, lie as flat as you could, fold up your wings, cover your ears and close your eyes. DO NOT BREATHE, DO NOT LOOK AT THE BLAST DIRECTLY AND DO NOT UNCOVER YOUR EARS FOR FIFTEEN SECONDS AFTER THE BLAST."

The dragons hide behind the hill except for Doppel.

Me:
"The city is deserted. No humans and creatures remain. I can estimate that we have thirty seconds left before impact."

Doppel hides with them. The unconscious dragon (Orthas) has been plugged with earplugs and his breathing suppressed by magic.

The missile makes a sudden nose dive for the city's center.

It is there, screaming as fast as they could.

In the cave, the wolves somehow barricade themselves and will be safe.

The dragons are behind the hill.

Me:
"Breathe in and hold your breath for fifteen seconds after the blast! Do not look at the explosion! Now, cover your ears!"

The dragons do as they are told.

The missile is 5 kilometers from ground zero.

5...

Me: (thinking)
"Will we survive?"

4...

Everything is so silent.

3...

The missile whistles...

2....

A faint click is heard...

1...

A sound of the charging laser pierces through the air...

ZERO...

A large explosion rocks the earth. The dragons feel an intense heat. In the cave, the wolves only feel shaking, no heat, no noise...

Outside was pure chaos. Chunks of rocks fly around at deadly speeds and embedding behind the hill. Cars are thrown and land everywhere. Even though that the dragons closed their eyes, they can still see a bright light. They can hear the explosion. A car lands inches from them. The wolf pups cried.

Every remaining building in the city gets shaken and turn to rubble in seconds. The Liberty Statue explodes into a million pieces and it lands in the water like concrete rain. Every bridge is ripped apart. Waters from the sea and rivers vaporize instantly.

After fifteen seconds, it was all over. The city is nowhere to be found. Nothing left to burn.

The cave has a passage leading far and away from radiation. The exit is 20 kilometers away from the ground zero.

Dragons are resistive to radiation (according to DragonFireOKN). But they will suffer permanent damage after twenty hours of exposure...

OOC: haha XD me too. and, um, humans were forging uranium and blew up the city in attempt to kill dragons. we all survived and all that crud. XD

So..desn't mean that they can defeat something thats stronger than them..especially since we will not be affected by the radiation...and also..I will save the dragons from being destroyed by humans!Promise it on my heart!

Something tells me we won't be able to lift up one of their tanks. Those things weigh.... a lot, to say the least. We need practice.

The wolf team pops out from a cave opening, luckily it was next to us.

We are at a safe distance away from radiation.

Me:
"Calm down everyone!"

"You see, Lancer is right. The reason why we dragons survived the blast because we are behind that hill that shielded us from the direct heat of the missile. We can succumb from the direct heat of a regular nuke so don't push your luck."
