What type of computer are you using?

I'm using a 2008 Toshiba HDD Dual Core laptop with a 160gb hard drive. It comes loaded with Windows Vista Home Premium and boots up in about 0.5 seconds due to a processor me and my uncle developed.

Re: What type of computer are you using?

OCC:Man your luck! You even made your own processer!

I got a Gateway/EMachines..its got built in speakers,a 21 inch.HD screen,comes with Windows Vista  Ultimate,and Chess Titans!

It's slow though..takes about 2-3 min.to boot up,and I need a modem,I'm thinking about upgrading the hard driave and processer for high speed internet and gaming.

Re: What type of computer are you using?

Boot up in 0.5 seconds? From cold start? How... Far Fetched.... (No offense)

I use an Acer Aspire 3050-1092 (2007). AMD 1.8 GHz single core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, ATi Radeon Xpress 1100, DVD Dual Layer Burner, Vista Home Basic with service, 14.1 inch wide screen and wireless internet. Battery lasts for two and a half hours on SpyroForum and an hour on games.

Pretty fast for what I want to.

Re: What type of computer are you using?

0.5 seconds? Impossible.

Anyway, I'm using an '06 (somewhat custom) Compaq with about 80gigs of memory with about 40gigs free.

...Jeeze, I could just move all this to my PS3! XD

I dunno what mine is.... Apart from rubbish. But it takes like 15 minutes to load up, though thats probably due to all the crap my sister downloads, all those bloomin sparkly pictures of her name and smileys!

Re: What type of computer are you using?

No, not impossible. Mine does, you just need a strong computer with a cell-processor. (I did not develop the cell, if I did, I'd be rich.) My uncle owns a computer store in West Virginia and he is freakin smart. He beta tests for Toshiba sometimes so he has access to all sorts of new devices. All I have to do is give him a report on the computer's status every month. Hey, in my opinion, FREE LAPTOP!!!

BTW, my PS3 has 160gb of data. Yes, 160, not 60. You can upgrade your hardrive.

Does the computer connect to the modem by USB? Well if it is, that's what's limiting your speed. Connect it to your PC via Ethernet.

Here's my connection speed:

Use this to test your internet:

Be sure to use "SpeakEasy" for the server.

Re: What type of computer are you using?

Spyrorocks: I like your set up but whatever you do, don't go VISTA! It is slow, painful, and you have to buy all new software. What year is it out of curiosity?
