The good ol days
I really miss the good ol syro games for Playstation. Back when Universal was in charge and when the games were actually good. I loved how the old spyro looked and how the old villians were. Man i miss though days. I hate how spyro looks now and all the new games for next gen systems. I stil remeber the first one best of all time

Oh, god, another one... When will these stupid rants end? If you don't like the new games, DON'T BUY THEM. It's basic logic.

I agree you will have 2 deal with it, things change. It took me a while 2 get used to it but you do eventually.

[sub]I'd hardly call that a rant. You want a rant? Here's a rant for you:
You know what's really annoying? You people who go around saying, "it's just change; get used to it!" It isn't Spyro anymore.
It's his opinion; get used to it. We classic fans are just as annoyed about your SpyroxCynder shippings and elemental-breath-type-combat crap as you are about us. Also, it's not as simple as "if you don't like them, don't buy them". I for one wish they'd come out with more of the classic style Spyro games. [/sub]

Re: The good ol days
I'd understand why A Guy would say what he said.
A counterpoint isn't necessary either.

Re: The good ol days
[sub]It's just that he said it in such an attacking way. Attacking my viewpoints or the viewpoint of anyone else who agrees with me will get you a rant, guaranteed. Just ask the admin.
A counterpoint actually is necessary. "If you don't like the new games, don't buy them"? He obviously didn't think for two seconds about that.
Besides, the first post was by a new member. How would you like to be attacked on your first post?[/sub]

Re: The good ol days
I have a good explanation why this thread is going to a bad place.
It's because this thread is in the *bleep* wrong forum.
Move to Spyro Chat, please.

I have said this, and I will say this again: It's a matter of personal preference. For me, Classics (ps1) are for fun, Legends for action!

Re: The good ol days
[sub]Zekira, you're partially correct. If this had been in Spyro Chat I wouldn't have seen it. Just don't swear at new members, OK? x3
Anyway, Doppelgangergang, that's what I was trying to get at, but I suppose my aggressive tone didn't help.
We've got new Spyro fans and we've got old Spyro fans, though the new Spyro fans seem to be the minority here. If we'd stop getting all this crap about accepting change all the time, the rants, or mine at least, would stop, end of story.
I am not going to like the new Spyro. Ever. I think the gameplay is crap, and I'm not going to accept it as Spyro, because to me, it isn't. So quit telling people to accept change; if the new Spyro games didn't happen to say "Spyro" on the cover I wouldn't have given them a second thought, and I'm sure it's the same for many of the few people who share my views on this. Re: The good ol days
Stormy is absolutely right, these arguements are absolutely pointless. There will always be old Spyro fans, new Spyro fans, and fans who like both, end of story. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of arguing with people over which one is better. Each is good in their own way, so we should just leave it at that. I miss the old Spyro games, but I also like the new ones, and I still play the old ones, so I'm really a supporter of both.

Stormy, I don't intend to swear at the new member. And I completely forgot that damn is a censored word. -_-
I'm not directing my heat to the thread author. I'm directing it to the argument -_-

Re: The good ol days
[sub]If you don't mind me adding on to that,
But that doesn't mean that opinions can't be expressed. Creating threads like this is perfectly acceptable, never mind if you don't like it. If you don't have anything to say other than "oh my god, your so annoying, accept change ya stupid nub, god" just don't post.
Edit: OK Zekira, sorry.
This isn't neo, though; keep in mind this should be a G-rated forum.
Gah, I'm still acting like a mod. Stop it. >_>[/sub]

Re: The good ol days
I vote we all stop arguing about it. We all want things, and personally I would like to see old series game be made again, since I like the old series as well. But, they just ended it in a cliffhanger at SL...

Re: The good ol days
[sub]Yeah, well, I'd be lying if I said that's a bad thing. 8D
Yes, let's stop arguing; as much as I like to argue, there's really nothing else to say on this. All in favor of the only moderator left closing this thread say "I". XD
Anyway, to the thread creator, I think you'd enjoy this thread, made by a fellow classic Spyro fan.
Amazing, I remembered not to use Neoseeker markup. X3[/sub]

Re: The good ol days
A good rant HAS to end with "And that's what really grinds my gears!"
I only have Spyro 2 and 3, I was hesitant on trying out the Legend of Spyro games since they are so different, I will try them out eventually.
