Well, I'm depressed now...

I just had to sit for 3 hours in my school, watching Schindler's List. It was so depressing, seeing all those Jews killed. Constantly being shot in the head by pistols or a sniper rifle, being shot by a rifle several times, and machine guns. Seeing hundreds of Jews being exhumed, and then incinerated at Auschwitz, including the 1100 Jews Oskar Schindler decided to save. They were nearly killed, but Schindler saved them before it could happen. I really wish I could get those images out of my head...

I sympathise with you, its absolutly awful what happened in the war, not just to the jews but everyone who was considered different. Try doing what I do to cheer myself up, go on a spyro game like AHT that you've completed and just mess around on it. Torching the butts of those froggy guys on Spyro 1 the second world (peacekeepers?), the ones that moon at you, amuses me too.

I had to watch a German movie today too about the Holocaust. That is the most depressing thing I have ever seen. I mean, the Nazis tricked people into the shower, locked the doors, and killed them with poisonous gases and burned them. Can you believe that?

As soon as I got into Year 10 I dropped History, I hated watching all of those depressing videos. Our teacher was also really creepy which didn't help, he would always seem to be watching you, honestly he saw everything you did.

Me too. I just moved in to Canada (Aug. 29, 2007) and took up History and I was in Grade 10. It is like through film and we watched movies all the time. I watched Schindler List for the whole lot and I am like so stunned. Combo it up with "Mississippi Burning" (racism) and I was like so wrecked. I did do well on that course, because the teacher is friendly.

EDIT (March 1, 2008 - 12:37 AM): I just looked over my records and I found like a whole notebook of rants about the movies we watched. Goodness, It's like opening a can of distaste for those nasty movies. mad Argh.. I got to go sleep now.

if you are insulted by someone calling you what you are then you are the one insulting it. i mean if you TAKE it as an insult then that means you are ashamed to be that arent you? if someone calls you what you are then take it with pride. (but that doesnt justify racism)

The only film I've had to watch of this sort is "Shooting Dogs". Wasn't pleasant, in any sense of the word.

The problems will never be solved by humans. We will just keep on fighting until we have eventually, completely decimated the world we were given to live on. Then who knows what will happen? Could that be it? hmm
