Do you beileve dragons exist? I do, I mean, it's possible for them to have and still exsit, and that they could be hiding somewhere we haven't checked. So what do you think?

I can't rule out the existence of dragons completely because of bones of an unknown species were discovered from archaelogical finds, as Brom also implied. I chose "maybe". I'm a bit on the skeptical side; what kind of wing structure is required to carry a heavy dragon? Maybe dragons aren't as heavy as we all think? I dunno.

I have to say that they atleast excisted once, or still do now. There is a slim chance that they could be hiding out somewear so un expected, just waiting for us to act stupied enough to case a nucualr war killing almost ever human, so they can come back out of hiding. If they are still out there...I hope they will reveal them selfs some time while i am alive.

I do believe they exist and hiding, yeah, like naga in Nongkai in Thailand if you ever heard.
Some say, they are exist, some don't.

These creatures must be cleaver, so they won't show us because it's dangerous, I believed.

I'd rather that they don't exist. Imagine if we found it, they would probably put it in a zoo or possibly use it as a weapon of war.

They probably existed at one point or another. Though, if any still DID exist, then they would have to live in regions of the world that aren't super populated, like Antartica or the Amazon or African Congo.

I do believe dragons exist, even if we can't see them, but I think Spartan has a point. If we find them, they'd just be subjected to torture, and forced into captivity for our amusment. Nothing deserves such a thing to happen to them, being kept captive somewhere to be marvelled at, or ridiculed, by anything else, it's too cruel.

Dragons might exist, but not in this universe. Here they are just legends and metaphors, but they're fun nonetheless.

In physical life? No. But spiritually I believe they do in the Astral realm. However I don't think you could go up to it, pray to it and ask it to make you rich. They'd probably tell you to go away and don't disturb them.

Oh gads, not this sort of argument again... Yes, I do. The laws of nature and physics on this planet, for a start. The fact that no one in all of recorded history has ever brought back anything that might belong to or be part of a dragon. A total lack of documentation in any real historical record. The little fact that dragons only appear in mythologies and fiction...

An animal the size of a dragon with its specific characteristics would be noticeable somewhere in human history if it had ever existed alongside mankind. There isn't even anything remotely like them in the fossil record (though it could be argued that some dinosaurs might have a few characteristics). In nature, the only animal that comes even close to breathing fire is the bombardier beetle, and what it spits out is more like acid. No vertebrate animal has ever been found that can do anything like that (unless you want to count the king cobra, which can spit venom or other venomous animals, but it's still not fire of any sort).

All of the accounts of dragons we have seen in history are specifically linked to cultural myths. They are metaphors for evil in the West, and representations of the gods or the elements in the East.

I don't rule out the possibility that they exist somewhere, but it is unlikely that that somewhere is anywhere in our universe. Perhaps in another universe where nature and physics are different, they're out there. Heck, I like to think that the stories we tell here exist somewhere in other universes. And there is some scientific validity for the existence of other universes parallel to our own. But in this universe? Not likely.

So, I ask again, what proof do you have that they do exist here?

Not to sound corny or anything, but... Seeing isn't believing, believing is seeing. Just because no one has ever seen it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. While you bring up valid facts Razz, it's still possible that they have chosen to stay secluded from mankind this whole time. For all we know, they could be deep under the ocean, where no man has ever reached. Perhaps we may never know if they have exist or not.

Scientists are constantly discovering new species. You never know, they might find a dragon sometime.

Seeing isn't always believing, I agree (I am, after all, Christian, and I do accept that there are some things that might go against what we think of as reality). However, I am not going to believe that dragons exist here without some proof. That's the thing. There is a lot of proof that God exists (in the archaeological records, in historical records, and the Jewish people themselves are very strong evidence that He's here). But there is absolutely no strong evidence from any field of study that suggests dragons are real. And, let's face it, if they were, there would be. They're giant, fire-breathing, flying carnivores. There would at least be multiple stories of dragons eating livestock if they were real (just like there are many stories of real predators eating livestock, such as wolves).

There was more evidence for the giant squid existing before it was discovered (you know, back when no one believed they were real), a lot more evidence, than there is for the dragon existing.

Personally, I think it would be cool if they were real (cool, and probably not much fun, depending on the sort of dragon you want to think of as existing). But until there is actual proof, I'm going to be a realist about this and say confidently that they do not exist in this universe.

Just because something hasn't been seen it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. Now, there are numerous reports of UFO's. Of course not all of these are true. Most aren't. Humans have lived on this planet for thousands of years. We still don't know all about this planet. I don't want to start a fight so I'm going to drop the subject. You believe dragons don't exist. I do. It's as simple as that. I won't try to change your mind. We all have our own opinions.

In all seriousness, I really want to know why you think they exist. I've stated my reasons for thinking they don't (also, you might not want to bring up UFO sightings; 99 out of 100 UFO sighters are on mind-altering medication or are conspiracy theorists who badly need therapy).
