'User CP'
On most forums I'm a part of, there exists a User CP page which is your personal home page for when you log in. I was wondering if this page will ever be available here on the SpyroForums in the future? This is the page I'm talking about:

I just find forums so much easier to navigate with this page. I like keeping track of Subscribed Threads easily and have gotten used to this easy and simple way of tracking them. I don't like having to look through absolutely every forum on here just to remember which threads I've posted on and to see if anyone's responded to my posts. I currently have Email Notifications enabled, but I find forums much better if I don't have E-notifications enabled. That way I know the updates when I log in won't be what I expect, which is the case with E-notifications.
I do hope the forum Admins are reading this.
Of course, I like making things easy for myself
but I really think other users on here would benefit from a simpler way of tracking threads. It may encourage them to be on here more often too! I really like these forums but get easily confused when navigating, so simplifying them a bit would be very encouraging ![]()

Re: 'User CP'
The administration reads all comments in the site suggestions.
The thing is, we run phpbb 2 on spyroforum. That screenshot looks like vBulliten.
vBulliten is a paid commercial forum software. phpbb is free.
There are mods for phpbb for a usercp, but I think that complicates things for newer members.

Re: 'User CP'
Aye that looks like vBulletin to me.
One thing I have noticed is when I click 'view your posts' it brings up the search, and not 'my posts' like other php forums. Que?

Re: 'User CP'
Another bug. Thats what happens when I tampered with the php a little too much, I change something somewhere, and something doesn't work somewhere else.
Thats what happened with the quote bug problem.

Yeah, that's a problem for me too. I've clicked to Watch a topic, but it doesn't really do anything. I still can't keep track of it! ![]()

Re: 'User CP'
I disabled watch topics because the forum will send out too many emails, and my host will not like it.

Re: 'User CP'
It shouldn't matter too much though cuz you have the Email Notification option in the Profile section, so I don't think they'd notice ![]()
Oh, I like the Welcoming message in your sig! ![]()

Re: 'User CP'
Thanks ![]()
It does matter, because if too many emails are sent from a singe hosting account they suspect it is sending spam messages out.

Re: 'User CP'
Aye, well to be honest it is kinda annoying not having quick access to topics you've posted in, without scanning the whole site. I suppose there's not much you can do then?

Re: 'User CP'
Hmm, not really.
Isn't it then possible to simply go back into the php and undo what you did, to fix the bugs?

Re: 'User CP'
Yes it would happen, because changes I have made implanted new features.
