Re: Spyro 2 On PSP
Ž · ...the fuss about making PS1 games on PSP is a bit old, so I'm not surprised that SR can do this.
Pretty fun having Spyro in your hand always.
Its not really old, its still being developed by homebrew programmers better ways to package isos and stuff.

Re: Spyro 2 On PSP
I'm getting a PSP. Any chance you could explain how you got either of the games to run?

Re: Spyro 2 On PSP
I know there are programs to put PS1 Isos working on PSP. I just don't remember a name, I just tried it once and I'm not a PSP owner. Also the other guy didn't have Dark Alex's Custom Firmware.

Re: Spyro 2 On PSP
I don't think it would work on a ps3. Isn't ps3 backwards compatible with ps1 games?
As for how I did it: It is way more complicated then just using a converter, trust me! There is even a chance that you could wreck your psp, so it would become useless and never work again.
Well, bricking a PSP does not technically mean it will be useless. Most people just don't have eeprom flashers these days, and can't get a backup of the console. There /are/ ways of wrecking it totally, but that's generally only when messing with hardware, or when having to pull out the eeprom to reflash.

Re: Spyro 2 On PSP
No, not anymore actually. Google "Pandoras Battery". DAX figured out how to use the battery serial connections to run homebrew and flash the nand memory.

Re: Spyro 2 On PSP
In theory, all PSX games should work on a PS3. I do know that you can download Spyro 1 and 2 on the PS3.

Re: Spyro 2 On PSP
Some modles of the PS3 can play older games and others cannot. I know the 80 giga byte one does not and I think the 20 giga byte version might not. Spyro one can be downloaded onto the PS3, I have not heard about the others. (I assume that it is a work in progress, or atleast they will someday).

Nice! I have a PSP, but I can't downgrade it.
I found a guide to do this, by the way.

Re: Spyro 2 On PSP
I'm sorry to drag this up, but is there any way to get Spyro 2 on a non-modified PSP?
