Hope JDFromNY206, GameXPlain, Chris Smoove, Roman Atwood Vlogs and RGT 85 are not affected my five favourite Youtube channel 's and the ones I watch hoping for the best. But yikes.

i actually have high hopes about this. the FTC isn't YouTube -- when the FTC gets a complaint or something, they have to actually investigate it, they can't just use bots all the time like YouTube.

like, let's say one of those channels is kind of borderline, between "for kids" and "not for kids". the channel owner picks "for kids", but YouTube's bots and algorithms decide it's NOT "for kids". they'd probably just suspend the channel.

BUT let's say the same thing happens, the person picks "for kids", but the FTC decides it's not "for kids" instead. the FTC will see that it's pretty borderline and the person made an honest effort to mark their channel correctly, and they probably won't worry about it. smile

the only people who should be affected by COPPA, are the ones who are purposely making their channels the wrong way, to deceive kids, or get around the law, etc. so as long as none of your favorites are doing that, they should be fine smile
