Stewart Copeland talks about Spyro

Steward Copeland, composer of Spyro 1, 2, 3 and Enter the Dragonfly, talks about his time on the Spyro series, working with Insomniac Games, and if the purple dragon should get back to its classic roots.

Re: Stewart Copeland talks about Spyro

Very interesting! I wouldn't have expected him to have actually played and enjoyed the games himself. Definitely a surprise to me that the devs had a different idea of which tracks went with which levels, too - none of them ever seemed out of place to me. I would have liked to know how he intended it to be.

Re: Stewart Copeland talks about Spyro

very interesting! sameresponseasstormy

A lot of material was required, and under that intense schedule the quality of work improved drastically. That’s not what you’d expect and it sounds counter-intuitive, but the music I’ve done in a blazing hurry is the best music I’ve ever written.

i can DEFINITELY attest to this. it's surprising how many good ideas one can come up with quickly, under pressure.

Sorry for the necro, but since this thread is linked from the KYHO 74 level review, and the original article's link seems to be gone, I thought it would be appropriate to repost the review from Wayback Machine. You'll need to scroll down a bit before getting into the content though.
