this is the 2nd time Captain America has come up in conversation in my life today tongue i have no idea about the Marvel or DC universes but i'll assume being Captain America is a good thing

Oh yeah me nether but from what I understand, Steve Rogers was just a regular man who wanted to help the Anerican armed forces during the time of World War 2. He underwent a secret government program that super soldier formula, got endurance, strength, speed his shield helped the armed forces stopped his archival Red Skull, and after being freed from Ice continues to be a big part of Marvel's lineup today. Steve Rogers usually carries the mantle, but Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, and Falcon Sam Wilson have also taken it up.

So yeah I guess being compared to him is pretty cool. I mean if your okay with all, that also hope I didn't bore you with all that but that's what I know about his history.
