but see now, was he asking why there isn't a "white" equivalent of black history month? or, was he literally asking why there's no holiday for single white men? if it's the former, that can get complicated. that's a whole political rabbit hole, but at least you might be able to make a convincing argument for your side if you keep it civil. if it's the latter, though, there's good news and bad news. the good news is it's not racially motivated. if he was black, he'd be asking why there's no holiday for single black men. if he was a seahorse, he'd be asking why there's no holiday for single male seahorses. the bad news is, you're doomed. he's entered into a vortex of self-pity. and what's more, he's become one of those people who takes personal events and turns them into commentaries on the world as a whole. he's going to spend the entire rest of his life complaining about how women refuse to date him, and then wonder why women won't date him. he's going to make endless Facebook posts about how women only date "bad boys" and there are so many nice white men out there but women won't go near them, smh. expect him to say a lot of very specific things to you and try to make them sound impersonal. for example, "women these days, they walk by, a guy says hello to them to be nice, the woman ignores him and then he gets angry and throws a cheeseburger at her and next thing you know, the guy's getting the police called on him."

Well he had mentioned how downtown was going to be insanely crowded due to Pride week, and then mused about why there was no day for single white guys since there's days for black recognition, women, etc. Lol, I don't know his motivations but I just found it kind of funny. I don't think he has a problem getting dates, but I could see how his frank and very opinionated nature would turn a lot of people off

Celebratory days (or worse, months) for any demographic group are pointless anyway. As is anything to do with collectivism/identity politics.

it just amazes me how hypocritical EVERY POLITICAL STANCE is. conservative, liberal, even moderates a lot of the time, every single thing that any person says during a political discussion seems to be mind-blowingly, glaringly hypocritical.

Had to google it because I never heard the story. The backlash the Twitter CEO got is ridiculous, but people freak out about everything on Twitter so I can't say I'm surprised. No one's taking away freedom though, just seems like a bunch of people yelling at someone online

but regardless, political hypocrisy is definitely universal.
