RapperOfIndie really liked to shop at Staples. once again he had somehow convinced Story and their baby, uh, i don't know if you ever mentioned your child's name so i'll just call him Glabmadevkomprewurtslyzuburwohoppodanardelinbyquaedmeteejgopwap, anyway, he had convinced Story and their baby Glabmadevkomprewurtslyzuburwohoppodanardelinbyquaedmeteejgopwap to accompany him on another shopping excursion to Staples. RoarOfIchthyosaurus was all about the newest styles of pencil sharpeners and calculators and general office memorabilia. they had just finished putting a new pack of CD-RWs and another external harddrive in the cart when Story had an idea. "dear, how about if we check out the computer games? maybe there's something for Glabmadevkomprewurtslyzuburwohoppodanardelinbyquaedmeteejgopwap [[i just remembered his name but i'm still going to call him Glabmadevkomprewurtslyzuburwohoppodanardelinbyquaedmeteejgopwap because i'm too lazy to go back and edit this]], something educational!" and RingsOfIodine agreed, Glabmadevkomprewurtslyzuburwohoppodanardelinbyquaedmeteejgopwap was a growing boy and, while smart for his age, could always use that extra bit of educational content. in particular, they were hoping they had something that taught kids about cartography, or otorhinolaryngology. they secretly hoped that Glabmadevkomprewurtslyzuburwohoppodanardelinbyquaedmeteejgopwap would follow in RoundaboutOfInterdimensional's great-grandfather's footsteps of being a map-drawing ear-nose-and-throat doctor, curing the world's sinus problems with the underappreciated medical practice of drawing world maps. to their disappointment, there was nothing directly pertaining to these topics, but they did find Civilization IV and decided that would do for the time being. the rest of this shopping experience would be pretty average: looking through the new set of binders they just got shipped in, taking a look at the different kinds of tape dispensers and STORAGE (there's an inside joke!) containers on display, before heading to checkout and going home.

or so they thought.

you see, Staples got another shipment that day that neither Story, Glabmadevkomprewurtslyzuburwohoppodanardelinbyquaedmeteejgopwap, nor even RivalryOfIvory himself had counted on -- office carts. RelateOfIrate's biggest fear. and there, along the wall, at the other end of the computer game aisle, stood one of the aforementioned office carts.

"dear, it's okay, let's just go to checkout," Story said, putting her hand on RiceOfIce's shoulder.

her words went in one ear and out the other.

RotationOfIndnentation immediately began to sweat and shake, eyes staring directly at the office cart, looking directly at him.

there was no going back. ReflectOfIndirect let out a loud

thankfully, he had enough wits about him to remember the items in their cart. "STORY!!!" RecalcitrantOfImplant yelled out, shouting his wife's SpyroForum username halfway across the store, "TAKE MY WALLET!" he threw it with all the force he could muster, and it landed at Story's feet.

thankfully Story was good at handling these kinds of situations and kept her cool, keeping Glabmadevkomprewurtslyzuburwohoppodanardelinbyquaedmeteejgopwap distracted so as not to upset him. they checked out with their items and met RedheadedOfIndebted at the car.

but it wasn't over.
RackOfIcepack would make sure of that.
that office cart had won the battle,
but it hadn't won the war.

he lay awake in bed that night, looking at Story as she slept. "i can't keep running away from my problems," he said, "especially now that we have a child. i'm going to face my fears."

he stared at himself in the bedroom mirror, hands on the dresser. he could already see the sweat forming, but he didn't care.

he let out his battle cry:

and drove heroically to Staples, where he immediately found the computer game aisle and attacked, winning the wrestling match with his lifelong foe.
