Re: Video Game Soundtrack
my personal favorite soundtrack is the LSD Dream Emulator soundtrack. not all of it is on YouTube yet, but most of it is: https://www.youtube.com/user/CrypticKamek/videos
but based on the songs you posted, here are a few individual songs you might like (from various games)

No video game soundtrack moved me (for its time period) more than Medal of Honor: Frontline.

I've played really a little part of MOW, but it was impressive. Didn't get to listen to all the soundtrack though.

i missed this question when you posted it. for me, i don't prefer one style over the other, so it'd depend on what kind of game it is.
you know - you wouldn't play Super Mario Bros on the NES while there's crazy orchestral music going on, etc ![]()

Re: Video Game Soundtrack
Ori and the Blind Forest ... gosh I love that game almost as much as Spyro.
Not only is the game artwork gorgeous, it has a fantastic soundtrack and the gameplay + story is top notch.
This is the track I deeply love from the game -
You want to stay and play around in the beautiful area and listen to the music, but you know you gotta move forward to save the forest and to make good things happen. But you can always come back. ^.^

Do you not have a Windows PC or an Xbox One? It's not ridiculously hard to run on a PC, but it is slightly intensive if you're looking to get it running at 60 frames per second. Any PC from the last few years will definitely be fine.

Not to be sacrilegious, but I think I love it more than Spyro.
But you can always come back.
Not really-- you can't go back to three particular areas, and after you beat it, you can't go back to your save. You can do these things with mods, but that doesn't fix everything.
They'll probably fix at least the save problem in the definitive edition, though.

COOL HUH.
Lucky you though.
When I was younger, I would've killed to have been able to have the ability to rip game file audio.

You don't rip anything. The .wav files are just sitting in a folder, so you can click on them and play them with Windows Media Player and stuff.

Re: Video Game Soundtrack
Oh yeah? Hmm, I was always under the influence that I had to figure out a way to rip files from game discs if I wanted to get the music. Mind you, this was WAY before I knew video game soundtrack sites existed. One of my more earlier internet days.
I suppose you were talking about pc games though, right? I never really played those much.

Re: Video Game Soundtrack
Another track from Ori I really liked; I particularly like the point once it reaches 2:28, but the whole song is really good.
