^ elaborate?

anyway i was gonna post this in SPAM but decided it was normal enough to go here.

i can't stand when i only like 1 or 2 songs on an album. i won't name the band, but i heard the first song from their newest album, and i just FELL IN LOVE. IT'S SUCH A GREAT SONG. i heard another one, and... it wasn't amazing like the other one, but it was still good!

the rest of the album seems to be "slightly above average" at best. i want to support the band, but i don't want to pay for a whole album when i don't really want to listen to most of it. hmm and i'm not getting into iTunes.

Re: General Discussion 5

I usually get my music from Bandcamp. Because iTunes pretty much takes all the money and the band doesn't get much. Bandcamp is actually respectful to the band's music/income and lets you listen to the WHOLE song instead of those stupid 30 second tastes. The website is fairly young from what I can tell, but it's also grown a lot since when I found it. Also, a lot of my favorite bands have their music on Bandcamp, many with albums that you can get at no cost but with the option to donate.

http://foreignfields.bandcamp.com/album … -in-hiding

It's good for bands because it lets fans pay more than the minimum cost, in case they want to further support the band.

Finally starting to clear more of Super Smash Bros. Wii U's classic mode got Mario to Donkey Kong's trophies so far. Will resume play in time. But for now Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario 3 D World here I come!

New MLP episode tommorow should be good.

Oh yeah, I forgot to follow up on this. I've been wanting a new job for a little while now. I don't have much of an interest in the company I work for or the job I do there, and on top of that the health insureance plan is terrible and I need to provide for my family. So after several months of an interview process I landed a job at a place where the insurance is far better and I'll be working for a company I like a lot more!

I hate that, it's like they only bother trying for a single song so as to sell the whole album and don't mind that all their other songs on each album are just mediocre. Not very good artsmanship if you ask me.

I never download albums. Even when I downloaded music, I only ever bought individual songs.

exactly. it really does seem like some bands do that. which i honestly don't care about if they're the kind of people who don't take their music seriously and just release it for fun tongue but if you're a serious band, you should care enough to make each song good... it feels like you're getting ripped off at that point. and cool to hear that you're getting a job you like more!

Stormy wrote:

sometimes there's no alternative. tongue i like some artists that only release their music online, and i like some artists who are so underground it's literally *impossible* to find whatever physical copies of their albums exist.

Now i had the urge of watching Avatar: The Last Airbender. And then the legend of korra.
I just assumed Katara and Korra was the same thing, but apparently not : 3

For years I've been a video gamer. I will be one for years to come! Nintendo has given me so much joy and happiness! This man Satoru Iwata contributed to that, plus he was such a very brilliant and kindhearted person. My heart is broken, need some time to get my thoughts in order. But in all honesty I can say this much. Satoru Iwata rest in peace you're in my heart, and you will be with us forever! Rest in peace! sad

Next time I play Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Super Mario 3D World, or Pokemon Omega Ruby I will say Satoru Iwata this is for you!

It means you're having fun using it Swaffy, you enjoy listening to you're favourite bands music on there. You have a good time doing that hence you're having a blast a good time. Really not much else to say then that. Sorry to confuse you.

Sigh this is not the first time this has happened. People don't always understand me when I speak. But hey I'll ether just point them in the direction of someone who can explain things better. Or just say I can't explain what you want cause I'll just confuse you. But whatever it doesn't matter it's how it is.

Oh, it's fine.

So I've been out of work for about a week because I got my thumb hit by a metal fan blade. I'm gonna lose my nail and my stitches come out tomorrow morning. -.-

People tend to react the same way when i explain stuff. Or sometimes its more like mumbling tongue

I am sure if one just do its best then everything will work out ^^

The one day that I forget to check the total number of posts, and I get beaten to making the 400,000th post. sad

Oh, well. Hopefully I'll be able to make the 500,000th post in the future. Although, with the amount of time that it took for this forum to get from 300,000 to 400,000 posts, it might not ever even reach 500,000 posts.

Re: General Discussion 5

Thanks guys you're right. All I can do is just do my best to explain things. It might not always be understandable but I gotta try. That's all I can do! So I appreciate the advice. Once again thanks. smile

I hope you feel better Swaffy sorry to hear that. sad

Anyway this week has been interesting. Satoru Iwata's passing has truly touched us all, his funeral will be held today in Japan. Most likely in Kyoto or Tokyo. When I found this out my heart sank. He did so much for the industry, and his legacy lives on in the games he helped create. It it wasn't for him We wouldn't have gotten EarthBound, Ballon Fighter. Super Smash Bros. all these amazing series. His memory endures. As we say are final goodbyes. Satoru Iwata you'll live in are hearts forever. Now we look back and celebrate the life you lived and what you contributed thank you. Rest in peace.

Evo 2015's today not only will it be the best Super Smash Bros. Players coming together to play but it is also a celebration of a series that I will cherish and enjoy forever Super Smash Bros. A series all Super Smash Bros players hold close to their hearts, and a series most importantly that Masahiro Sakurai and Satoru Iwata created that a lot of people myself included will be fans of forever. I hope everyone enjoys, and I'm sure Satoru Iwata would be smiling down happy people are enjoying it. Have a great day everyone ciao! wink
