In terms European traditionalists
They should make it more like. "Yes My Lord" "At once sire". I even like that orcs are like blood thirsty demons in Warcraft 2. Although Warcraft 3 is ok, it doesnt have that imperial feel i think. Its more magic and wonders to say the least.
Although some stuff like "The Tudors" is kinda ok. But what i find problematic with most of modern historical drama is that they dont make their mindset in the past. Its like if someone dressed in classical clothes with a mind of the 21st century :-3
It should be like Gandalf from Lord of the Rings. Reading dozens of books. I mean most people back then couldn't read, if you had a grey beard and bunch of parchments to read from or where a Lord, you'd be considered wise and stuff. Peasants and hard work and mud...

Re: In terms European traditionalists
None taken sire. Otherwise we can go back to our duties. "Yes milord". "At once sire" "At your service" "As you wish"

Re: In terms European traditionalists
on a slightly related note, i've had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now, of writing a My Little Pony fanfiction in a medieval writing style, like the King James Bible or something.
a few months ago, i took that scene in the one episode where Rainbow Dash is in the hospital and Twilight gives her a Daring Do book, and translated that, as an example:
And Twilight didst say unto Rænbow Dashe, Verily this book shall be unto thee a thing of great enjoyment, surely thou shall read it. But Rænbow Dashe did reply unto her, Nay, this ought not to be, for reading is an activity enjoyed but by the ignorant. Behold, I toss aside this vile thing, and do remove it from my sight.
And it came to be that Twilight did leave the presence of Rænbow Dashe following this encounter, but behold, when she could no longer see Twilight, Rænbow Dashe did retrieve the item and immediately began to read. What delight, thought Rænbow Dashe, for now I shall enjoy this novel and learn of the adventures of Daring Do.

Good luck on that.
I heard the earliest was some form of mixture of two different spoken languages. Unsure. But basically anglo-saxon english was the winner in the end
