Any Superstition as a kid you used to believe was true
I don't know if Santa is a big commercial tool in USA, or if people honestly take it seriously (considering the christmas movies) if he doesn't exist or not, i as a kid didn't care much about it. Maybe its because i believed in god that he was real and that Santa was more of a figure just like other symbols, but it wasn't really much relevant that i cared or thought much about, it is what it is was basicaly it.
But there was some superstition i was told as a child that i really did believe. It was a black snail. And i don't know the english word for it so i will give a image of it in the spoiler.
Basically i was told that if i stepped on it it would rain. And it usually did when i stepped or biked over it. So i started to believe rain would come if i actually squashed a black snail on the road. And i don't know why they don't exist so much where i live anymore. Kinda miss those to be honest. But its a more of a fun traditional belief i think.
Anything you guys used to believe was true as a child in terms of some superstitious stuff ^^.

No, I was never taught to believe in Santa or any other stories like that.
Closest thing I can think of was pretending my toys were real. I always knew they weren't, but what if they were? Better not mistreat them just in case.

Pretty much every holiday icon I believed was real as a kid, but now that I'm a adult, well I know the truth lol.
I have changed my username from Justin Long Fanatic to EricChristianOlsenFanatic, so Justin Long Fanatic is my old name on this site, and EricChristianOlsenFanatic is my new one.

My sister never understood the idea behind Santa. She thought he was a reverse-burglar. Instead of stealing from the house he put stuff into the house and ran away. XD

Yeah, I used to believe in Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the tooth fairy. I don't intend to teach my kids about any of them being real though

Re: Any Superstition as a kid you used to believe was true
i used to believe in all common American superstitions (black cats crossing your path being bad luck, instead of white cats, for instance; four-leaf clovers; walking under ladders, etc) Santa the Easter Bunny the tooth fairy etc etc
these things may seem insignificant on the surface, but you'd be amazed how much my worldview had to change in order to make such ostensibly simple changes, and how much my worldview was changed as a result.
