If animals had strong vocal cord and brain enough to think...
I think they could actually create a langauge and communicate as we do if they actually could. I mean that would be pretty amazing, we are like the only species that can.
For example, parrots can talk but they don't have brain enough to make a language, but they do have the capacity to remember words

And then its this ape, it can't actually talk due to vocal cords being too weak, but it does understand words.
