How many of you people agree that all GC's don't care their games?

Since almost every game company doesn't care about their games and they only care about money these days, I want to talk about this with you folks. Here's what want do when I grow up first I want to become a good game developer, but when I turn 32 or retire at a younger age, I want to become an actor since people say my voice is very deep, but anyways enough of that stuff if you don't care about it, when I get alot of money for acting, I want to open a game company called Dragon Games and my first game I want to develop is called "The Gaming War" and what it's going to be about is, since we say Activision and EA are the worst and the most evil game companys in the world. In the game they are destroying the glory of gaming by a chaos war and are destroying our beloved game characters that we loved when we were little kids like Spyro The Dragon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Crash Bandicoot and all these other ones that we loved, me Heckler The Dragon, Angry Joe, PewDiePie, Markiplier, Boogie2988, TheGameTheroests and Michal from Rooster Teeth need to team up as soldiers to fight the war and the other gamers are into, they need to fight in order to save our childhood game characters get them to help us, the chaos they got us into and these other bad game companys did too in order too bring gaming back to it's former glory and make the world of gaming have peace. Heckler The Dragon and Angry Joe are the chosen ones that Activision and EA want dead the most, you must help them, PewDiePie, Markiplier, Boogie2988, TheGameTheroests and Michal from Rooster Teeth.

I mean, good luck becoming a game developer and all, but... game development isn't some glamorous, high paying industry where you don't have to worry about money and get to retire early. Game companies care about money because they have to stay in existence as companies. They have employees to pay and shareholders to please. They can't just make anything they want without caring about if people will buy it, like you seem to be doing here with this idea you're proposing.

I'm probably just getting trolled here and just wasted my time with this reply, but whatever.

Companies like EA are the ones I consider "money grabbers" but Epic Games (Yes... UE4) care for their developers and games very well. They gave out a money grant to UE4 developers so they can get assets for their projects.

Although in terms of EA, i have played good games i remember as a kid. Harry Potter the chamber of secrets on PS2... not Xbox or Gamecube version. Because you could run in a big field outside.

If you sneak away from patrols, and if you were caught you'd lose points for your team, it was cool to sneak out during the night i might wanna do it again to see if i can get caught outside and out run the patrols big_smile

And Activision... i did like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 on PS1.

I will just blame that game have become trendy, and before was more of a hobby. I mean if you for example look at PS4 or Xbox One dashboard... and compare it to Xbox 360 2006 dashboard.

Read this and learn from it. Your profile says you're 15, so perhaps you haven't learned the idea that a company needs profit so that the employees can make a living. People in game companies often work to hold their house up with their family, and the enjoyment in making games is sometimes just a side benefit.

If you make whatever the hell you want then there will be many people who will disagree and your profit (your company's income) will plummet.

I like the arguments that people whine that game companies are these blood sucking money hungry corporation... but people on YouTube who spams crappy videos on YouTube, one each day IN ORDER TO GET EASY CASH does the exact same thing. Atleast i can find enjoyment out of games, YouTube content in general is usually just trash. So that's much worse.

I just think it's pointless to complain about companies being "money grubbing" in the first place. It's common sense that companies have to care about profit. It's like people expect companies to be charities or something. Charities that provide them with the essential video games that they're so entitled to.

Its like that Mass Effect 3 ending controversy... i mean i heard of it i just didn't watch or care for it before i beat the game in order to not spoil the game, since i was really looking forward to beat it. And was like. Wow this was a fun game. The complaints was so stupid and childish on so many level, it was basically that the ending didn't reflect the choices you did in earlier games (Even though you were taken by a ship with an armada of reapers pouring in in infinite numbers"Which would think to give a good explanation of that -_-".)

The only thing i will say is Mass Effect 1 was so awesome and cool, while Mass Effect 2 and 3 was kinda cool. But that's just subjective taste. The game's atmosphere and exploring planets felt great ^^

I didn't care for the ending myself and thought it didn't make much sense. But I agree; the complaints about it were so childish. Did you hear about the fans sending cupcakes to Bioware? Different colored frosting same bland cake inside. Wow, so edgy! roll

Another example could be the ending of Legend of Korra. I liked the show, but I found the ending stupid because they shoehorned a romantic relationship in at the end between Korra and the other female member of their group, Asami, just to make a political statement. This caused a lot of controversy on both sides, with some people saying it was hinted at all along and calling those who disagreed homophobic, and others who found it as out of nowhere as I did. It totally wasn't worth it to complain about it to the writers, though - at the end of the day, it's their IP and they can do what they want with it. It's not like it ruined my life or something, and complaining wouldn't change anything anyway even if I did care enough.

I have only seen some episode of "Avatar: The Last Airbender", i assume its connected through those series with "The Legend of Korra".

You're not though. Maybe not politically correct, but that's about it. I might wanna see that series if i get done with the first series first smile

Know this, game companies can't make their games just for money, they should do it for the love of their games because if they just sell a game just to make money and not make it good or fun to play, and if people buy it and they think it sucks, they're not gonna want to support the company.

it's good marketing to millenials if companies demonstrate that they / pretend that they have positive values. being too outright about your need for / obsession with money can be pretty damaging. Ubiwot m8
